Bro I'd be all over it in a second if I could find them in the right offset. I'm pretty limited in what I can use as I need at least a 45+ offset. I'm using standard commodore PCD (5x120) so there will be something out there that I can modify to suit I'm sure

They come in about a 35p , in 15x6, 15x7, 15x8... In Chev pattern so would be able to fit...
Gently roll the guards and run smaller diameter tyres to suit (ie 195/50r15 or 205/50 , 195/45) and I think you'd be fine...
Whats your measurements from the hubface to guard edge?

I haven't measured yet as the diff isn't completely set up. Running 53P offset wheels I get slight sidewall rub on the inner guard with 195 55 15 tyres on - I rolled the guards before paint. i will either drop down a width - i.e 185/175 60/65 15 or widen the rims to give it a more positive offset for a wider rim and stretch the rubber on. This might allow me to run a 205 tyre on an 8 inch rim

185/55R15's... Realitively common...

shouldn't be a problem as long as I can get tyres... 185 55s do look a little small though

(Work for Mag & turbo)
185/55 has near enough the same rolling diameter as a 195/50 though...

must just be visuals then.. they look smaller! I played with a few tyre options to try and get clearance, especially on the front with the increased track from the holden brakes. I need at the most about a 195/60 on the front, and depending on what I do with the rear rims I might be able to get a 205 on if I widen the rims inwards. Might have to go for some 80s Rake!

Yeah used it a few times before.... I have a couple of issues really... one is the gear ratio - I don't want to go too far from the commodore tyre size, but it also needs to fit in the wheel arch and look ok

Update on the wheel issue... Spoke to the guys at rimrite here in palmy who reckon they should be able to widen my wheels for me relatively cheaply.
I now have the engine in and most of the wiring done too. still need to make fuel lines and brake lines and tidy a few things up there. Toying with the idea of using an oil cooler due to the reduced capacity in the sump. Once that is all done I can put the interior and glass in and finish the diff - set up pinion angle and finish welding the suspension mounts on the diff... Then all that should be required is a driveshaft and exhaust.... sounds too easy really....

Yeah came out pretty good over all. Will need the odd bit touched up, but not too bad really. Hoping to start the engine in the next week or two, so that should be pretty buzzy. Just need to set the pinion angle on the diff and make a driveshaft and it'll be mobile. Then exhaust, glass and interior.
