This is my new project. A Vauxhall Chevette Wagon. I've just sorted out some better pics of it. Its pretty much standard at the moment. Just wheels on it, and I'm aiming to get a twin cam piazza motor in there withen afew months, but we'll see how that goes.

Looks mean bro, rims are all good ay. You know the chrome bumpers youve got, do they need to have those black things on there?? The vertical pieces?? And can yo9u get a one piece front bumper go the full length across the front?? Just curious bro. didnt think theyd look any good on my wag but you may have just proven me wrong! Chur

Ryto, cheers for the feedback, long reply coming. Chur Yeh I hate chevette bumpers ay, I didn't use them on my last one but I think they do look ok on this one. I do have a full set (from my old car) so I'll probly use those, or swap with zep and use his tx ones. And nah, those black bits are add-ons, still not too sure about those but i'll keep them anyway. Whats up with your gem wag by the way?? Its trying to get a wof at the moment.. wish me luck.. then it's for sale. That is one schmick ride dude, I would love to own one. Need a wagon for the old carting mtbs and nuts around, and it's gotta be a gem or a chevette Loving the Piazza twin-cam idea, you going efi or carby? Yeh I luv the wagons ay. I wish I liked better cars but ohwell.. things happen. I'm running a microtech ltx-8 on the standard efi setup to start with. I had everything all ready to roll in my old car but I got lazy and sold the engine! Long long story...

New plan possibly. I'm giving the engine idea a miss altogether. Have just spent over a grand on rebuilding front suspension with heaps of really nice stuff. -whiteline 26mm swaybar (front) -sandblasted and black enamled upper/lower control arms -all bushings new nolathane items -munroe HD gas shocks, modified for more suspension travel F&R -new balljoints upper & lower -rebuilt (but rusty) piazza vented disks with semi-metallic brake pads -adjustable sway bar ($150 cos they didn't know what it was worth) Haven't gotten springs sorted just yet, as i know it will be a piss around to get them how I want it. *My new idea for the car is as follows Lowish, but probably not as low as with the 17's. 13" superlights or similar with about 185/50/13 tyres lightly stretched just to squeeze inside the guards a little easier I'm thinking front 'spook' off something. Rx3 or mk1 mexico possibly. Will have to see what will fit but I haven't seen it done before and it will add that little something. Real race look. Not sure whether the bumpers will stay with this style. May even look at full bumpers painted black. Inserts around the lights painted black. Will hopefully make it look abit dirtier. Would love a boso style oil cooler out the front, not too extreme but some braided lines going out to it also. It will sit just below the existing bumper line. Anyway, thats what I'm thinking at the moment and I would LUV everyones feedback or ideas! Even if they are negative ("positive criticism"). Now with pics... My control arms all pretty with nolathane and modified shock mounts and suzuki sj4 (i think) munroe gas shocks in the background. No front feet Whiteline 26mm swaybar and adjustable panhard rod This is a little embarrasing/don't get jelous The power unit!

Yeah! No doubt yours will be better. I'm just after something that works, not a show car. Don't tell me my bushes look different!! haha do you have good pics of yours? I've had issues with mine already but I thought it was sorted. I just picked everything up from a good suspension supplier (specialist not repco ). Sway bar is the same as a commodore I think. Its adjustable, with nolathane bushings and cost me $150! I'll say it again cos I'm sure its a wicked deal. Apparantly it bolts in to geminis. But, it said on the box that it doesn't fit panel vans! Which I didn't think were different from everything else, so I'll have to investigate. I'll txt u sum time. I've been meaning to go to aucks for ages so I really should very soon.
