Whats a G220Z?
Yeah pretty gaybar, but no hurry. I knew it wasn't going to be super easy so at the moment I'm looking into using a single cam block with a twincam head and that should go in without too much hassle. Its going to cost me a fortune though. I worked it out to be around $6500 to get it in, rebuilt and running. Ouch. Thats realistic though as when I tried the g200w conversion I didn't really think about it as much as I should have.
So yeah, no hurry on scanning that stuff.. Just do it when ya can but I'm keen for some motorvation if I'm going to be spending that amount of dollars on my fukn car!

Well, after ALOT of pissing around with all kinds of tyres I seem to have finally suceeded in getting one on there. Thanks must go out to shane from tyrepower for persisting with fitting these fuking things. We got a 185/60R13 on there and it the process of popping the tyre bead up over the centre ridge it flew off the machine about 3 metres into the air and came crashing down buckling the rim slightly. BUT, the tyre was on! Haha. The other but is that it was just so huge and ugly that it didn't fit on the rear properly and looked like absolute nuts. Need something smaller! Next came a 155/60R13. Something very small, and bearing in mind that we were fitting it onto an 8 inch rim I was very doubtfull if it would even go on, but we thought it would be fun to try anyway. Sure enough shane managed to get it on there but needless to say, it looked like nuts. I've never seen a little tyre stretch like that before though. Quite a site. Now we had an idea of what could stretch onto an 8 it was time to go searching for some decent tyres with a nice low pro side wall. The yokohama brocher came out and we looked past everything to find a 175/50R13 race tyre. It seemed that was the only option, but after phoning the suplier up they directed us to a tyre the same size, but for street use. Next day went in to get it put on. As expected it wasn't quite that easy. After about an hour we decided it wasn't happening so some thought had to come into it. Heat. We sat it out in the sun with the heatgun going hard on it to try and get some flex in the rubber so that it would stretch the bead over the seem. Heres what the trouble looked like. The size of the extra part of the rim doesn't allow the bead so slide easily over the outside of the wheel. Oh and I decided to paint the centre gold, but I don't like it that much so its going to go a light gunmetal colour next to see how that looks on the car. The heat didn't seem to work and by this time it was beer'o'clock. Cracked open afew and we all but gave up. Mean while shane was carrying on while we were out the front talking sh*t like usual and we heard abit of a 'yes' come from the back of the shop. Turns out after trying about 20 times he found a new stratagie to get the tyre on there. Success. Needless to say, I'm over the moon because I had lost hope of getting anything near decent on there. Now all I need to do is grind all the welds down on the other rims and get them up there to get the other tyres fitted. Heres some pics. Remember, the gold aint staying. Looks a little too tacky on the car for my liking. But still not too bad. Front Front clearance Front from the back Rear in the air. I like the tightness of the suspension. And on the ground with some clearance shots also.

mate that looks fully dope! seriously nice feet on that one love old skool look kicks ass, how much the wheel package set u bak in the end ? Cheers man. They cost me alot, so I'm just so happy that it all worked out in the end. Wheels: $150 Sandblasting: $80 Widening: $550 ! Sandblasting & Painting: $120 (So cheep! ;D) Tyres: $650 f**king around: Priceless So $1550 all up, but I'm not too worried. So far it's almost worth it just because they are so different. But yeah then I guess theres the cost of smashing my exhaust off becuase it was to low ;D This is my favourite new pic anyway. There's quite afew spread all over the show on oldschool now. edit: yeap it is illegal to widen 3inches, but theres alot of things that are techincally 'illegal' now aren't there? you can get wheels certed, which I plan on doing and I talked to my certifier before I went through the process. Unfortunately he failed to mention that wheels less than 8 inches can only be widened 1.5 inches (I think it is) and wheels over 8 inches can be windened 2 inches (again, not sure on that) but I don't really care too much anyway - I've already been pulled over and I got a fine for lowness, but the cops don't know nuts about legallities of things like wheels so its fine. I'm pretty sure putting 17's on a car that was designed for 13's is or should be illegal. My car feels and handles so much better now, its amazine. End edit.

Umm, not sure from sills - they aren't the lowest point. Lowest point is cross member which is around 45-50mm
