I think that would be a TE gemini. I like it ;D
Zane was telling me he put escort shocks in the rear of his to keep it captive so perhaps worth looking into those.

It is a Te and I always thought they didn't start till 79. I have some real stiff Hz holden shocks in the rear of my car there about 100mm shorter than gem ones. Also Piaza ones are about the same length as my Hz ones bit shorter I think to be honest.
I love the Te shape chrome bumpers etc look mean on some 17's with all the chrome bits pollished up.

Yeah I've fell in love with the later shape too. I'll put some elbow grease in next weekend perhaps if I'm not working on the Bellett. Sweet I've got some Piazza shocks so I'll have a look at them this week, cheers. I think they're gas shocks too got "red ryder" written on em so might be better than standard ones.

Haha, yeah I've only had it 2 days, I'll get that fixed this week. When the tires wear out I'll get a lower profile and narrower tire (will goto 185 or so) to get some stretch on the front, add some spacers and it will bring them out to the guards and look alot better. lowered rear to suit today and have some guard rub but it got dark so couldn't see and its too low to drive up into the workshop, had to do it in the mud Piazza shocks worked a treat Burntrubber Will probably get 195/45 on the rear when it comes to tire time aswell.

Rear finished, put Piazza gas shocks in to keep captive. Need to sort front now. I want to space the fronts out to bring them flush with the guards then goto a smaller tire. Spent 2-3 hours getting guards to fit, only rubs slightly now but want to get rid of the noise Will work on the engine this weekend and also need a new exhaust as its a bit low. Keep trying to rip slip joint off on driveways. This thing is so Barry Whiteing fun on the gravel! Sticks real well at speed and is nice and controllable on the corners. Goes well in the wet on the road too but doesn't have enough grunt to keep it sliding. So I can't wait for the g200 ;D Is giving me lots of inspiration back to get the coupe done/actually started. Have my TIG back now so thats a start.

Yep, Gemini's/Chevettes are great fun on the gravel, can go sideways, and with the torque tube they dig the arse in and go for it..
Looking better

hahahaha those plates are dodge!! i sold em to a chap down near welly sumwhere unlesss im mistaken which is why u think its a 78 when its more likely a 79-80. they cum off toms (77vettes) parts car and he said they were for a TE. You should go undetected car was registered as cream in colour. Not stolened or nothing tho so don't panic (unless the car was im talkin bout plates!!)

That's pretty gay. You're right cause I happened to look at the tag today when I was fixing accelerator and it was cream! It definitely looked like it was from another car. I might take it off and paint it white just in case for wofs. Pretty annoying though I don't like having dodge nuts but I really wanted to keep this car so as long as wofs are fine its all good. Hope the garages don't want me to cert it when the new engine's in! Cheers for letting me know man. I've spent about 8 hours porting the g200z head so far with heaps to go. Can't wait to get it in ;D Really need to sort shocks for the front. Any ideas?
