Reminds me, what alignment are you, and the other Shovels, running on the front? My uncle was down there doing some promo work - said there were so many people around, getting in the way, that he had to drive back the car and pick the trailer up this morning.

Out of interest Craig, what spring rate are you running in the rear?

hey gordo i am running -2 camber +2 castor, had very little understeer last time out and it made such a difference but I may try -2.5 next time out but not going to do too much more with it till I lighten the car.

hey gordo i am running -2 camber +2 castor, had very little understeer last time out and it made such a difference but I may try -2.5 next time out but not going to do too much more with it till I lighten the car. Whew, that's what I was going to suggest. Depends how much roll resistance you've got in the rear to stop the front inner wheel lifting - if it lifts more than a couple of inches, I'd be looking at 2 1/2 degrees*. Used to run that on my old 'stockish' 1300 hatch - but more for motokhanas although I had a picture of a street sprint where the inner was a good 6" of the ground Of course, factors like sidewall stiffness, tyre/rim section widths and pressures will also affect the way the tyre contacts the surface, of course. With your modified wishbone arrangement, is there any issues with tyre contact to the damper on droop with that camber? If you're running short dampers, shouldn't be a hassle, though.
