argh i have a cunning plan swap the wheels off the chuvit onto the piazza if they won't go i can give you my gemi brakes, and put the piazza 14s on the chevette, now heres the cunning plan, bring the piazza wheels around and i will draw up some new outer bands for you, 3 inch for the back and 2 inch for the front and then get arrow wheels or the like to make them for you, funny thing with wheel people ask them to sort it and they charge the earth, give them a sweet dimensioned drawing to follow and they are all good, other wise could look into making them from stainless, have a mate thats already quite keen to experiment with making outer bands and he has access to all the necessary machinery from fabrication to finish

Selling Piazza.
And cunning plan is pretty cunning but won't work because my piazza alloys are only 8 bolt so if I am lucky enough to be able to get the centres out, the rims will almost definitely be welding "2 piece" rims now so I won't be able to change the outter lip.
I'm definitely keen to have a look though as soon as I pull the tyres off.
As far as centreless, hmmmmmm? You actually can bolt alloy centres into steel rims but I wouldn't try it unless you were using a really thick guage steel, in which case they would be soooo heavy it would just be silly.

definitely alloy bands ftw, my supers are pretty light for a big rim and tire combo, arrow can put bands to your centres but they pretty xxe, when are you going to get it certed?

My plans are pretty open on the shuv at the moment. Meaning I don't have too much time to work on it and even less money so its just sitting in the garage doing fuk all......
Probably won't get a cert for it this year I don't think.

lol. your supposed to bump your own project thread I almost might have something to update soon though. And a couple pics of your wheels too boe. This, for everyone watching, is how you widen a set of steels. Perfect offset. Damn that was a mission to get tha stupid pic working.

That looks mean dont like the chances of getting the certed once they have rubber on them. My main issue with my cert was wheel rub in the rear and my rims dont stick out like that either. The guy loaded the rear up needs to be able to take like 300kg before it hits the stops then if its on the stops it cant have any wheel rub. mine rubbed with just him in the drivers seat lol hes a big dude 100+ easy. He said most cert guys dont check it properly though which is gay cause if you get stung for it its a re-warrent or even worse a re-cert. Cops do actually check for signs of rub on cars that look like they may rub. Could just chuck em on after a cert though affects insurance and legitness etc which I actually care about now cause I'm getting old

True, good points there too. I would probably just get around it by running a smallish tyre on there. Nothing crazy but just something that tucks in nicely.
That picture is of it nearly on the stops anyway, so should be sweet I would say. Jases wag is probably a touch higher than my car and gemini wagons have BIG bumpstops compared to chevettes.
I hard out care about that stuff now. My biggest fear from having something dodgy is that I crash my car and hurt someone then the cops blame cut springs or something stupid like that.
