My bumps were huge 60-70mm I cut them down abit once I got the hieght were the engineer was happy. It cant rub at all he was stern on that it damages the sidewall usually which is abit dodgy. Looking at the wagon I reckon you might be all good the door does'nt go into the arch. The recese for the door in the inner gaurd is what mine rubed on.

Right some/most of you will know by now that I bought this beast... picked her up today finally! Been paying Brad some $$$ each month since January. Still have some more $ to pay but reached an agreed ammount where I take possession. Ear to ear grin after taking her for a wee blat around the back roads of muriwai... got it home and unloaded and immediately dove in and bolted in a drivers seat and of course had to try on the wide steels (was on some temp wheels) as I have never seen them in person on car (well OK I have but only briefly a few years ago) Anyway heres some pics, hopefully I can sort out getting the thing legal ASAP!

shot tim, will be good to see in some uberclean livery, going to do a diff before cert? was a clean car when brad picked it up and those wheels and the xe made it world famous. hmmm probably should do diff but probably wont too many projects make it hard as Barry White... dam stupid addiction almost expensive as crack only with crack you have nothing at the finish! Lots of tidying up of various loose ends to be done, brad knows what I mean not picking on the fella is an epic ride but wiring needs finishing, heater box needs to go back in to make water tight, interior needs some TLC, gas tank mods need to happen so boot tray can be refitted and some paint touch ups here and there. will try WOF as is and keep use to sunny days until everything up to cert standard, who knows maybe a diff may be on the cards by time 2nd WoF is due?! What kind of costs would there be? mod driveshaft, purchase of diff and 10hrs or so labour?! (new brake lines and a half doz other smaller things) time will tell, if I get all the Rugby World Cup work I've been quoting for lately then def a possibility!

Yeah man, plenty of things to tidy up on it all right but I'm sure it's gone to the right man for the job and as I said before, glad you are already getting out there and enjoying it!
Diff would definitely be a nice luxury, but if you drive it right I honestly believe it will last a long time and another Chevette diff won't be expensive to chuck in, in fact I have one here you can have.. haha. It would be good to chuck something bigger in so skids are safe and so you can open it up a little bit more on the track, but all in good time aye.
