not much of an update. just noticed 2 posts from mikuni i never spoted before =S cars definatly not level. ive checkd it on a few surfaces, havent got it up on the hoist to check the actual shock yet. my gemini is the exact opasit, right is normal and left is nice and low haha. as for the floor im pretty stoked aye =D the poor thing been siting in the shed with the starter off but not out since my last post like a month ago. i got crazy busy at work due to un forseen circumstances, so ive got as far as pulling the altenator apart...
this is how it begins. a one week job turns into a month. and before you know it your buying another car because your "daily" has become an epic project =S
speaking of projects. supercharged g200w guy on trademe is evil! droping the price of the engine to well within my pricerange when i cant spend my money =Z damn that thing would be fun in a vette hatch.. especially with NOS and a celica box (the yellow pinstriped gemini guy has an adaptor for sale..) but knowing my luck id attempt the rebuild myself. it would take me 7 years. and it would blow up as soon as i tried to run it.

Ok so hows the idle sounds ok in the vid bit hard to tell 100%. If the idle is smooth as in perfect or close to its almost safe to say the injectors are fine. You have a fuel pressure pressure gauge right? what does the pressure do when you rev it up? does it stay nice and constant?

it does idol ok yea. pressure is set at 28.4psi and im pretty sure it stays constant. ill get a shot of it with the fuel gauge going and also of the smoke. but that wont be untill monday

If it idles ok I'd say the injectors are ok and when you open the throttle somthings going wrong. How is the fuel system plumbed should go pump up to the fuel filter then to the fuel rail and injectors then to the reg and gauge then the return back to the tank.

i'm thinking thats a spark issue dude my g180 on twins was like that till i changed to n13 or n14 pulsar leads from the wrecker and some expensive real deal spark plugs, also drain your tank and put fresh as fresh fuel in and maybe a new efi fuel filter, or just ignore me i'm sure you're turning it inside out

efi filter is brand new (well it better fvcking be) leads are new. plugs are hot, but not platnum... my piazza frend thinks it could even just be timing... as for the fuel, im sure ill use it all up pretty soon haha.
any thoughts on my head idea? i dont pretend to know anything about it i just use what i think is logical haha

cam timing possibly out if you have put it together wrong, ie did you have it at tdc on 1 with a screwdriver down 1 to check it was right, i set my timing roughly at the dizzy to get a car running then timing light stz once its driveable, i would try some old pulsar leads though the clear spiral core ones worked a treat for me, i rebuilt a gemi motor about 5 years ago and just followed the haynes manual and it ran first crank on the floor afterwards, it sounds flat if you hold that throttle wide open and it screams i'm thinking you have the cam timing advanced a tooth which fighting your new higher compression would leave a dead spot till it gets the revs up also disconnect you o2 sensor from the exhaust and hangit in the bay while you rev it, makes the comp run it super rich and gives the injectors a good blow out then refit, worked for my g200w when it was leaning out

to be honest i havent stuck a light on the timing yet. just checkd it briefly =s hopefully i wont need to work this weekend and i can have a fvck around with the o2 sensor. and check timing.
im going to be PISSD if it is just timing.. pissd yet happy
