Pretty sure the fuel line clamps need to be every 300mm for a cert. cool, not getting certed anytime soon but want to do as much as possible up to cert standard so I don't have to redo stuff

Hell No! if you turned up with more than one chevette then they could compare them and realise exactly how much you have changed! I want the certifier to notice as little as possible when he certs mine!

Exactly, it's like having your car look stock, even if it isn't, as it's less likely to get noticed by the Police (or disreputables/thieves) as, when it gets noticed, that's when the problems start.

I want the certifier to notice as little as possible when he certs mine! was trying to understand wtf you were on about... Andrew (aka aninja) was meaning package deal on custom accelerator cables not certs! lol The conversion on the black Chevini looks pretty factory... period engine, awesomely crafted gbox x member and mounting points (look back at pics) Not too sure what is under the blue wagon... anyway I'm a way off certing anything, want to make sure I'm not going to change anything that will need certing, for instance blue wag needs LSD although I'm impressed with the flogging the stock diff has/is taking considering it was only ever intended for the mighty 1256cc monster... Anyways hoping to have this black beast sorted fairly soon, sick of looking at it sitting there waiting.

Haha sweet. I'm still a long way off certing too, but putting the hard yards in so I can maybe look at getting paint on her next month. Theres no way I will be able to go to even a dodgy WOF Shop (as if there was such a thing ) to get a WOF on her as there really isnt a lot left of the original car other than the body.

I can't insure my Chevette wag, would get laughed at come claim time. Once I get LSD it will be certed for sure.

I actually don't know. Until I have it running and have made a final tyre choice I won't have a clue. I will run it on the rolling road at work to find that out
