Took the diff back out this evening and removed everything off it. Pulled the axels out (soo freakin' easy, they just slide out) and also the centre too. Gonna get it blasted and primed this week some time and buy a whole new set of bolts for it. Shouldn't be too long before it's back in and rollin on 4 Konigs ready to get the 1/2 cage done

Yo, I'll try and grab a pic later tonight. It's pretty simple tho, just a rose joint slotted between 2 slices of metal. Haha, I dunno about the cost, got a bit jipped by the dudes who restudded the axels. Yeah man, can go quite a lot lower aye, and definately will be when I get my springs made Just need an engine in there first!

Diff is at the sand blasters getting blasted and primed. Also went to pic-a-part on friday and got a Subaru boxer coil unit and an EA falcon ABS VR sensor. My 12-1 toothed crank wheel is in the mail so I pretty much have everything for my ignition now

Crap, I forget to do everything. Might try when I get home, but I've got no net at home at the mo so can't do anything with them!
Picking up diff this afternoon.

Hopefully will paint the diff up tonight and put all the sheezy back together tomorrow or thursday. Gotta get all the new bolts and stuff first tho.
Also, priced up a new rubbers kit for when I paint, Bill Thompson Auto Rubbers in Aussie do a full kit for $570AUD, you can't buy the kit in NZ but I priced up buying all the individual bits from RareSpares and it came to like $870 EX GST, so that's almost $1000. I know where I'll be getting mine!!

Howzit, for the master cylinders for 4 bolt you can use a hiace van and you just have to shorten booster pushrod and lengthen brake pipes and swap reservoir fittings and 2 bolt you can use a xb falcon master cylinder

nuts, thats some good info right there. Better keep that somewhere.
Leon, I've decided you should get some dishier rims. Those look mean but imagine a massive polished lip on the outside of that dark gunmetal. Would be awesome. You could sell those ones on TM without tyres for what you paid for them and get some 15x8's! and put stretch those tyres onto them. I don't think you'd have any clearance issues aye.

Yeah... been thinking about it aye. It's hard to find mean dished 15"s in 4x100 tho. The don't make any decent steelies that big, so I'd have to get some 3pc which aren't cheap.
See if you can find me some!

What about konig ET0 ? Are yours ET40? Most new cars have 15 inch bickies and tyres are a piece of piss to find in 15" apparantly. We even saw a new camry with 16" steels. I was having a discussion with a mate tonight and we agreed that you can have absolute sh*t boring steel centres but as long as its got mega dish it will be awesome. Like these. Not exactly exciting, but they look great.

Yeah, I don't want to go the cop rims look tho, anything but them really. The Konigs only came in 114.3 in 0 offset, otherwise I probably would have bought them.

Did a bit of work today. Car is now down on the 4 rims and the diff is all bolted up nice as. Might need to buy some longer studs for the diff unfortunately which means axles back out but all good. Also got both my seats in, feels nice to sit in it once again and see it on the ground. Few things to do tomorrow then I can book in the cage

If you wana go for some work equips or whatever i cant get 'em through my mate. Was looking through the work cataloge(book!) today, holy crap its massive! like a4 sized and maybe the thickness of your average light novel. So, so many different wheels to choose from. As for steelies, what about useing spacesaver centers? that would be cool. Some models of falcon have 17 inch steelies as spares they're 8inch wide as well! haha
