old datsun is out and being picked up 2moro for $180, good to get sum more money to go towards the cause , also by measurment looking like the mounts might line straight up with the ca18 so that will make my life easier for once. next thing will be drop out the front subframe and all parts and spray it all with rustkill, done the sway bar and mounts today aswell.

Almost looks made for it, the lean of the engine brings the intake across enough to clear the booster, while the exhaust manifold is nicely tucked away. How does it line up with the mounts and does the sump clear the cross-member and steering rack?

yeh its a nice fit, mounts are jst off if i push it back as far as it goes and it would clear the rack however id have to get a bulged bonnet so im gunna drop the rack like an inch then make sum mounts up to get it lower, and probs make sum extractors tbh cause theres sum spare space on that side, radiators gunna be tucked under the top cross brace thing and gunna be eletric fans as there aint enough room for viscous and the shroud lol

Good option on avoiding the bonnet buldge if you can, always detracts form a tidy conversion in my opinion. I've not moved a rack before, but I guess its possible without too much trouble.
If you can retain the factory exhaust manifold and get the engine sitting in there with clearance to the mounts, I would do this. At a later date you can do extractors if its not fast enough for you. Or maybe put a turbo on it instead. I've done two conversions with extractors and neither set worked perfectly in the first instance, so had to do them again.
My radiator is tucked up under the radiator support panel. It's very tidy and works well. Check my thread if you want to see more. The only trick you need to do really is put an inline filler cap in there because it needs to be the highest point for bleeding the air out of the system. My fan is on the front too, works well almost never needs to turn on. It is just a factory fan from a Nissan Bluebird - factory fans are cheaper and work much better than aftermarket ones that you get for cheap from supercheap etc. The radiator core was originally a large core from a Torana that I had cut to suit the application.

yeh well if u look at the rack its on flat mounts so theoretically, 2 steal plates same with as mounts then bolt in back on and put a spacer on the linkage as for the radiator yeh il probs go custom too and connect hose to the top with a cap fitting on the endof that and bring it up to the normal height.
