Thinking about this, I would say the best way to do this gearbox conversion is to just use some thick plate on the floor pan on the inside. You would probably have to weld it in but that's pretty easy. This is how my drive shaft loop bolts under my seats.

you may well be able to skip through WOFs without certs but I reckon the 2nd carb may be a giveaway on mine ;D Trust me tho when my car is out of the shed and in Troy's shop I will be screaming it from the hills... he reckons next week, he did offer to take it last week but didnt wanna choke his shop with another car that aint running, SR20det Starlet out G200z Chevini Project in~! (wish I was doing an SR20det convo, that starlie is gana haul ass!)

Feck, got side tracked came up looking for camera... that Mazda dash my Mrs retrimmed back in August... it's in! Better late than never I guess, hoping to get car fired up for 1st time in ages tomorrow...

Just put the battery on charge overnight. Battery on charge? So it cranks the engine over nice and quickly - or for a long time... I hate screwing around with leads and jumper batteries.

Yeah, very satisfying getting pulled over and being 100% legal! ive still never been pulld over =s ive had commys, a dodgey little chevette. i drive a dodgey looking gemini with buckys and still the pigs dont look twice =D I was doing an SR20det convo, that starlie is gana haul ass!) that starlet is fvckn awsome!

if you ever have a big crash an insurance company could get out of paying out if your car isn't certified... to be honest I've never really had anything that required certing but want to be all legal with my toys from here on in.
