failed wof today (expected)
*zorst leak- rear muff has a rust hole (expected) *brakes- my master cyl is leaking into the vaccume, can likley just bleed it for a wof but will need to sort out rebuilding or replacing the booster. *tow arm front bolt loose- aparently thers just a bolt with a bit of play in it on my suspension.
so... the point of the thread. im after some opinions on rebuilding my brakes, or geting an after market kit, perhaps a remote booster to clean the engine bay up. the exhaust i can sort, ill ither weld in a new muff or just a straight pipe. can source ither from a wrecker friend. and the suspension... ill let you know wtf hes on about when i get it up on the hoist.
he also listed "battery is rusting" wich i assume means the batters TRAY. wich scares me... he didnt even open the bonnet wich means there must be holes rite thru wich the last Mrs Funt'maRunt owner just painted over... its not a wof issue its just writen at the bottom.
but he didnt notice that my back my windows fall out, or my car is 3 inches lower on the right, or all the oil all over the engine and sump, or the fact id forgotten to stick my spare wheel back in after painting my boot, or any of the other things ive noticed haha. so all good.

if you have a spare it needs to be secured thats all, doesnt matter if none at all. Battery tray he cant have seen from underneath as that is above your feet ... assuming your talkin bout the chuv...
I also have brake issues aye, basicly they suck.

Thing with the battery could also be the mounting points for the hold down clamps.

Lock on real easy... thing also with a piazza rear is they wider... limits choices in rims... have heard discs bolt onto gem diffs tho, can't confirm at this stage...

Before you go getting a new diff, I would do all the pads and flush the brake fluid and rebleed it.

I have a Piazza diff in my Tg with the 14x8's its 19mm wider each side. The disks might bolt up to an early model diff but not the latter Te on diff. I looked at doing it I have a full spare set would need some re drilling and using a disk brake commie diff bearing seal but it would work. Hand brake cable needs to be a piazza one but the mounts need moving where it bolts to the floor. Would be eaisier to do a commie rear disk conversion but you need at least 14" wheels and some alloy 14"s might foul so I've read. I've had the commie setup all bolted up to my Tg but never ran with it.

rims need to be 14s? that would be unfortunate concidering i just got 13s haha. wouldnt mind the extra width tho, sould just fit the tread under the guards with 19mm on each side. as for bleeding and all zep, i want disks anyway =D and cul8r may have a dif for me... it is disks is it not? will be keen enough to even get NEW new rims to fit them over it if i need to if its an LSD.
as for the battery, the clamp i made IS rusting because i wire brushed it up haha. maybe thats it...

Piazzas have uprite shocks I'm sure... shouldn't be much harder than mounting up a gem diff.... (2 of mine already have either a gem or pizza diff mounted, 1 to go!)

You should never be sure unless you know. Piazza shocks are angled, not upright. My bad... Are they mounted same as angled T car shocks? The mountings on my green chevini pizza diff are whack, one of the shocks end up blocking the mounting for the panhard rod... not like car is super low, unless you get this problem with any lowness...

I remember seeing that diff, but it was a while ago now.
I am pretty sure Piazza diffs have the panhard rod on the other way, so that is probably the reason for the shock/panhard rod interferance, rather than a difference or similarity between upright and angled shock mounts.
