im probobly jst saying sumthing really obvious here but check the connections on the ignition barrel incase the idle position is like burned out of sumthing then check the wire, i dunno otherwise.

one of the first things i checked yeah. tried bypassing the factory solenoid & just running a wire from starter to coil - didnt work. tried swapping coil for gemini ballast resistor type - didnt work.
not the carb fuel solenoid... not the fuel pump...

each turn of the key has its own igniction power, like when u go to start ur car your stereo ect turns off, have u put the igniction circuit on the right power source?

maybe a wire from solenoid wire - white/red stripe - through fuse box(power source)?
same thing happened though when i was using factory chevette solenoid

is it running a ballast resistor? if it is thats most likley the problem- when you crank it puts 12v to the coil and when you stop cranking it SHOULD run through the resistor, making it 6v. if resistors stuffd it wont run unless its cranking. if thats not the problem ill have a think. i have the flu and my brains foggy haha
