Go see your local daihatsu dealer, get some 175/60r14 tyres they've pulled off, will look really quite sexual!

nah its all going to gemininja as of this weekend. just dont have the time for two projects eh. still got a g161 sedan to play with though which may end up with the twin d/drafts i have spare now.

Not with those HORRIFIC wheels it's not TIM. Turbo's are awesome your just jealous (will keep telling self that!) Anyway theyre better than pizza rims any day! (which I have on red wag lol) Anyway what do rims matter... currently both of the red vette hatches in question have boat anchor motors! (altho Andrews won't have for long me thinks...) Cul8r, the daihatsu dealer thing you said... why do they pull good tyres off and how do you know about this? Just curious... |

turbos are awesome
toytota/daihatsu always put aftermarket rims on cars on their yards aye then off load the standard rims on tradme etc. Also car dealers will swap tyres for cheaper ones when doing lease deals(on instruction from the lease company or something). Duno why but i was always doing that at ford and we also had a large stockpile of wheels and tyres off of various nuts just lying around

andrews not getting the red hatch, hes getting mitches blue one along with pizza diff & g161. put the boat anchor back in mine just to get it mobile which is all i need for now

I've asked at a number of dealers around here and no one seems to have tyres/they all play dumb perhaps?
Lease companies have to foot the bill for all replacement tyres over the 3 years/100,000km or whatever, so makes sense that they change them for cheapies to begin with.

Not about changing to cheapies, they usually put the more expensive tyres on, and 9/10 you wont find the OE tyres at the dealers, sometimes a good place to try also would be a rental car company - they like to standardise what the fleet is on, and most people you talk to wouldnt know anything about it either, best to either talk to a service manager or go to your local big tyre company - Beaurepairs & Firestone, (Tonys dont do accounts....)

yeh firestone usual does the tyre swaps for lease companies aye
but do try giltrap toyota in grey lynn. They like to make dealer specials(mag n turbo 1000 dollar advanti specials LOL)
Or try john andrew ford. They had quite a few mondeo, focus and fiesta rims + tyres there lying around from alloy swaps. mag n turbo lol
