I think I figured out why the XF throttle body is more popular. The EB one I have is externaly a lot larger than the XF one and might be quite hard for me to fit in the engine bay. I may end up takeing the air bypass solinoid off because it will hit the radiator maybe. Still have a bit of fab on the plenum before I will know for sure. Oh and its 58mm not 68mm.

Hit the radiator! It must be very long, unless your plenum is oddly stretched?!

Its the filler neck that it will hit its quite long on that pulsar radiator I have. Its the air bypass solinoid that will hit its huge sticks out the side heaps. Anyway did some more on it last night and looks like it will be ok maybe.

Ok here's a pic of the throttle body you can see the solinoid on top. It nearly hits the filler neck on the radiator about 15mm of clearance. I want to find out if I can turn the throttle body on its side it will have heaps of clearance that way.

Isn't the filler neck on the passenger side?

I got the radiator from a panel beating shop out of their bin. It was out of 95-96 shape hatchback. I don't think you need to upgrade the radiator my work hack dose'nt get any hotter than it used to before I put the turbo on.

My TE engine has done 120000kms and I'm running 7-9 it creeps around at higher revs and its been like that since newyears and no probs yet. Take in mind that its an auto so it dose'nt get any hard gear shifts and I only rev it to 5500 never any more.
Oh yeah I've had three Gems and four engines and havent killed one and ones boosted now so I'd say their tough in my opinion.
