Hey boes. I posted this on oldschool but ahwell, these are the cars I was really aiming it at anyway. Eurosport is having a trackday on the 14th-16th of september. I'm planning on attending but I want some oldschoolers there with me. Trouble is, half of them are japanese (Vauxhall = Euro aparantly) so we've been trying to get them to let jappas on the track. Turns out they are semi-keen, but you need to be a member. I see your a member already zep. Might be just enough time to get in there? Would be pretty awesome to see some cars out there anyway, euro badged up if they have to be Heres the thread anyway: www.eurosport.org.nz/index.php?topic=2537.msg33474;boardseen#newGive it a thought. p.s. gordo, you taking the cally out?

I might shoot kym a PM on oldschool. I was looking through the thread, some of them seem dead against the jappas, I think they're scared personally. On second thought, what if I own a Euro (read: the bug) but don't drive it on the track

Yeah, it seems that if you are a member and own a Euro, or are even interested in them, then they are perfectly happy with you attending their trackday in a japanese vehicle.

Hell yeah. I think I'm a deffinate, I just hope it gives me enough time to get my suspension set up sorted. Some of the people on there annoy me, they're a little bit arrogant/ignorant. I'm not out to prove myself, just that older cars aren't complete piles of nuts haha.
Should be fun ;D

Hahah, awesome. I'm sure the awards will be hell bias tho And you're not? If you'd read their discussion forums, they'd decided that members can use non-european cars but European is preferred. Personally, I'd love the track day - been years since I raced - but the rest of the activities hold less appeal, largely because I wouldn't know anyone there at first.

I'm trying to recall what I actaully meant when I wrote that. Probably nothing, was tongue in cheek what ever it was. Gordo, if you can, you should try and come along to the next OS trackday on the 26th of November. Be even bettter if you brought a chevette!!

Yeah, I know, I was taking the piss November? Even at my work rate, I should have the conversion done on the Chevette. Main thing is getting the Calibra sorted/legal so I have something to run around in, and tow a trailer. Then sorting out exactly how to get the four link fitted whilst still, preferably, retaining use of the back seat. I've a normal, torque tube, Isuzu diff I could use as an intermediate option, I guess, before the Lotus Turbo. Fook the weather!
