Cheers Craig, sorted it 2day. gotta set of rostyles which im going to tidy up tomorrow. Tony showed me his collection and was more than welcome to help which was much appreciated. Hey Tim if u didnt get my txt let me know and ill pm u my rents contact details to sort it out. if u dont get an answer leave a message and they'll get back to u as soon as they can. -------- Changed the oil/filter and coolant fluid today, also sanded the rocker cover back (will probably redo sometime later to try and get it to a mirror finish quality as what i did was quite rushed. Oh yea as i mentioned before i picked up a set of rostyles and will get some pictures up after i tidy em up tomorrow. oh and the mrs took a pic of the chevette when she was following me.. thought it was a pretty cool pic, ashame its low quality tho.

took the beast in for a WOF today.
Failed which is pretty dry but only needs a small amount of work done to get it road worthy..
-Steering wheel bearing is buggered and needs to be replaced. -Back left tyre is larger than all the others so needs to be changed. -Some rust underneath on the drivers side needs to be dealt with.
hopefully will have it all sorted this weekend

Barry White i hate those engines lol. ugly piece of the proverbial. you thinking about a repower? Not that bad, just need to have a good idea what you're doing - remember, the engine design is nearly sixty years old...

Barry White i hate those engines lol. ugly piece of the proverbial. you thinking about a repower? I reckon a 1256 for a young guy is a decent engine... will keep you out of trouble Tai! Jesse check out Zanes sedan, (aka Rootes) he mildly worked a 1256 with decent results... its that slammed white one with wide Rustyles and roof rack that was formerly owned by Brad (mikuni) If and when these cars finally become sought after those left with the OG engines will be the winners on the day!

haha funny. that sedos pretty beast i reckon. changed the wheel over at Tony's today and he had a look at the steering wheel. turns out Craig didnt tighten the nut when he swapped back to the original steering wheel (hence the reason why it was loose) so 2 of the 3 preventing my wof are now ticked off hopefully the rust will be sorted tomorrow if the panelbeaters free. Oh yea Tony also took me for a blat in his shoveit racecar. i think the word 'brilliant' sums it up

my bad tai...thought it was tight enough...maybe you're just putting in the kms Thought you woulda put something better on there by now? They feel so much better with a decent wheel on. Tony mentioned he took you for a burn. Amazing how quick the chevettes go when well sorted.

haha was pretty loose craig. didnt really notice it though til the Wof man started wobbling it around. Yea nah, probably will when i get some money together, looking at one of those tri spoke dish/drift steering wheels when i do decide to change it. nuts yea. amazed me really how quick he was gunning it after it was all warmed up. Some new pictures of the wheels, later than expected because i ended up not getting round to painting the back 2 until i had the correct size tyres... a few shots of a couple of the wheels before (all corroded and what not) After And a poser shot of the beast ;D Theyre not perfect but look 100x better than how they did when i received em. choice
