Got the car and a thousand and one 2.3 spares and body spares...heaps! Also got the moulds for rear HS guards! Here it is from Tony's ute on the way back. Have more photos coming later tonight when we get home.

Ok just got home bout 45 ago...loooooonnng day but was well worth it! I've taken photos of the bits. I gave Tony the HS rear guard moulds to add the the HS / HSR collection. Note in parts...big valve head! 3 heads, 4 cam carriers and cams, block complete with caps crank etc. 4 oil pumps...I saw these recoed on ebay last night for 100 pound and climbing. If anyone is interested he has some 13 inch minilites for sale and heaps of 13 inch tyres and rims so I can pass on his information. I will be running 15s. He has a couple more blocks although we couldn't find end caps etc so we opted out. Engine is running hot cam, ported head, holley carb! that'll go asap. balanced crank, rods, lightened flywheel, custom headers which are pretty good! Needs a general tidy up to make it look professional and we'll be 4 linking with watts linkage, hilux lsd, levin discs rear, bmw/rx7 fronts, king springs / bilsteins. Engine will be pulled out and 'freshened' eg new end caps etc. Big plans for this car...watch this space...oh an if anyone does find a twin cam head let me know.

adapt something off a quad cam v8 from a stang? same size pistons haha but thats likely all you would find in common

1200 for 15x7 superlites and I'm guessing around 300-400 a tyre for good road race tyres

Update....went to a guy's place near mere mere and did a deal where Tony and I tuned his v8 and holly carb for swap of a complete bedford slant 4. V8 was purring when we left. Took some photos, note tractor attacking bedford van for it's motor! made me laugh. Continued up to Tony's where I refurbished and tested alternator and installed on race car. Removed Sump guard and put some of Tony's 15x7 minilites on to check the width. Will look great when we get the race suspension in there. I also found out that the guards have not been tubbed or even cut away underneath the fibreglass flares! plasma cutting is inevitable Tony and I put together his motor and gearbox (again) and installed in the car again. We found out from the oil pump suppliers that we needed an external relief valve system which we haven't run for years and only came up as a problem after this pump redesign! Fired up a treat ....oil pressure problems all sorted. More to come
