Looking good - about exactly the ride height I'm after. What brand/model springs and dampers are you using?

rear springs are king spring super lows and the front im not sure i havent changed them since i got the car but there red IIRC red is cobra springs but not sure what type, is there a way to find out? and i put monroe gas shocks in front and rear. also my rims are 15x6.5 with 38offset (would be better with a lil more negative offset to full up the guard more but there alright)

got myself a custom made high torque starter motor ;D theres a company in auckland who adapt toyota 3.3L diesel starter motors (2.2KW) to fit any motor, just sent my old starter motor upto them and they made the adapter, ect to make it fit and they done it in 2 days! they prob didnt have much work on due to the "recession" thing, costed me around $600, havent got the bill yet, well worth it i think due to fixing my old one was going to cost around the same(was going to have to send it to england) and then that would of been the same old crap starter motor i had in the beginning so i think it was money well spent, will see how good it works 2mrrw once iv installed it.

Always nice when something special works out - the stock ones were rather sluggish, to say the least.

that's a pricey starter motor considering you could have just found another cf motor and stole it. That does look like an awesome piece of kit tho! I'll keep it in mind if mine ever craps out.

Brock, even when new , the starters were notorious for having a hard time starting the CFs - whilst it may seem a bit pricey, it'll be one of the better buys you'll be making - unless you want to go to 24V starting?

I've considered upgrading my starter motor, purely because theres nothing quite like an engine firing into life with a good big wind.

yeah costed a bit but i think it was money well spent. was going to try get my old one fixed or get another one but then i would still be in the same place i was in the beginning and once i get my new engine together with higher compression, it will be even harder to start so i thought i should just fork out and get it done right so its more reliable and when i go to start my car each time i dont have to worry about if its going to start or not

and talking to Tony today he suggested it was a good buy as he had to do the same with his motor because of the higher compression he was running which is ultimately what I'll be doing.
