Have also started stripping out the interior. Plans are to go for black trim on the door panels instead of the horrible mint green, done properly (i.e. by a professional, instead of me making a balls up of it) and matched to some decent seats.
if your panels arnt ripped cut or worn rite out try sum satin black (easier 2 apply and get good finish out of than gloss) vht vinyl spray dye... used on both my vettes looks realy good and is surprisingly resilient...i peeled what was left on the chrome strip off in the matt blk vette painted that strip orange with engine enamel and it still hasnt chipped.. but yea jus make sure u clean vinyl realy well with meths or sumthing 1st...worth a try if u jus gana start again...may save sum $$ 4 your 4age. the handle sprays up 2 with vinyl dye...the carpet strip @ bottom of door panels dyes up well 2...just drinks the dye hardcore. should be able to do whole car incl roof lining with like 6 cans if u careful...only bummer i had is missed a few edges which pisses me off! looks good with chrome handle and window winder too... ps my panels started out mint green and baby blue and both filthy also

I did think about doing that but wasn't sure on the quality of the finish... but they are in good nick, so will give it a go.

Ah nuts... thought I'd put in an update... but looking at the date of my last update makes me feel real bad about how slack I've been on this project... I'm embarrassed as feck But anyways, I actually had the car on the ground, on it's wheels and running around last night. Front brakes are a bit seized, not surprising considering how long it's been since they were used, but hopefully a bit of driving about will free them up. Will rebleed them too. Diff gearing is ridiculous, even with the small diameter tyres, happily cruises around at 50ks in 2nd... but it's awesome to be driving it again. Looks mean with the superlites on, although it still needs lowering massively... didn't take any pics as my hands were covered in oil and crap from getting the gearbox back in, but will get it out again and take some photos probably this weekend. Feck I'm slack...

Awesome, grab that angle grinder and the get us some pics! Going to go see if I can get a WOF first, then will get the angle grinder out... ;D the 3 stages of lowering 1st stage/ mmm that looks good, i'll just hope those remain captive 2nd stage/ nuts thats the nuts , i'll just get shorter shocks an adjustable panhard rod and lift the exhaust! 3rd stage/ fark i'll just get all of the above in the second stage and call myself brad ha ha, yeah already got the shortened shocks (the spax), there's no centre box on my exhaust so there's plenty of clearance already, just need an adjustable panhard rod and she'll be several millimeters off the ground...

2 Coils front, 2 Coils rear
Will bring it down nicely.. For shorter shocks I used Fiat items in the front, and piazza/gemini/chevette front shocks in the rear - Just need to cut down the metal bushing of the fiats, and remove the metal bushing from the rear shocks ..

sweet, 2 coils it is (saves me schlonging around cutting, putting back in, cutting some more etc). Going to slap those spax in for shorter shocks...

did you really chris? the gemi's have an extra coil in the drivers side so i suspect your car maybe lopsided, was a mission to get mine perfect ! unless you've got piazza or chuvet springs in there , so have a good measure first jay , as its easier to cut to little off and recut later rather than cut too much off and end up fouling just to get it all even even though you have even counts of coils with the chuv, two coils may work for chris's gemi but may not for you

what's the legal limit with lowering? Been having a look at how far to go and my mate reckons it's lowest part of the car has to be 100mm off the ground... but that's not very low, certainly nothing like the Bradster...
