Yeah been busy had so many voltage issues it ain't funny and the megasquirt hates voltage fluctuations 90% solved now had to run individual power feeds direct from battery for injectors coils ecu etc and my alternator wasn't up to it and my near new 560 cca failed as a result so have my old battery in there it's still 460cca but it's bit sad. I sorted the alternator issue with an EB falcon 85amp blots straight up with a 4mm spacer on the rear mount and a 5mm spacer behind the stock pully which bolted straight on. Still got heaps to do its my daily driver at the moment goes mint fuel economy ain't to bad compared to my wrx it's pretty much the same.

Gots me a wastegate also sandblasted and coated the manifold turbine housing and dump pipe with some hearty heat paint have it vented to atmosphere not sure if i dig it drowns the engine and turbo out which I quite like the sound of. Now on to more shiny bits custom 56mm radiator and all hoses-fuel/vacume/boost to be replaced with stainless braid and fittings. Im actually looking at selling the turbo setup manifold turbo wastegate dump pipe air filter pipe and turbo to intercooler pipe to help fund my new plan so if anyones keen let me know.

Yeah I'm pretty happy got some big plans for the car this year new intake mani and turbo side of things i have big plans there also Finnish that commodore diff conversion I started like 5 years ago lol. I'll have a few bits up for grabs like my disk braked piazza diff and turbo setup and inlet manifold aswell.

The housing is from a vn and the diff center I got out of a falcon ute. I'm gunna use the 4.1:1 crown and pinion which came in the vn housing. I'm going to shorten the axles this week I think should motivate me into finishing it.

Cars boosting 20psi now injectors just doing the job I think it's getting abit of spark blow out it miss fires abit with the throttle fully open so I've gapped the plugs abit smaller will see if that helps. If not I'll look at different plugs and or coils. Anyway it goes hard as f@&k almost makes me giggle it puts me back in the seat its awesome has 16.5 psi at 3500rpm gets the rest by 4200 keen to get a dyno power run soon.

Plug gap helped a lot I also brought the boost down to 18psi and it's nice now nice and crisp drives really nice round town and is awesome on the open road having 16psi available at cruise speed. Love the megasquirt so easy to tune going to look into a ms3 soon I think.

Yeah, having that boost available in 'cruise mode' should make for a nice relaxed drive on the open road, just squeeze that throttle for passing... you may be able to use a higher voltage coil(s) that should take care of any misfire. BTW, the turbo' LET engines use 0.6mm/24 thou gap even at the 700+ hp level.

Stock gap for these plugs on this engine is .85mm I was already at .7 I've gaped them down to .5 which is prety much 20tho. Coils is defiantly on the cards or even an ignition system like msd etc. my coils are mitsi wasted spark coils common as and sposed to be good performers. The other thing could be the igniters but there a Bosch item which are really highly rated.

Cars going great susing out a Dyno session at the moment not sure on a date but it's underway it's in kerikeri about hour drive for me. Guys seem real keen they only done nissans mostly by sounds of it and never seen a megasquirt so I'll be introducing them to it. I'm hopeing for 200hp atw will be happy with anything close tho.

Started commodore diff conversion today got the axles and housing shortened and made the cross member to take the ladder bars will take some pics tomorrow hopefully
