Very nice.
Pitty about the bog. I would say jump at it soon, but I'm scared of what you might find. I've seen many a tidy looking car come off the road never to return due to finding a lot of bog and holes. I don't want to put you off, just saying enjoy the hell out of it now and tackle those issues later when you are really ready (financially and mentally) for what you might find.
Looks like those guards have been lipped a bit. I wonder if it used to be lower or on different wheels?
Do you have any immediate or long term plans for it or just going to roll it and see what happens?

those guard lips look great! pity about the bog. if it were me i would get it sandblasted and repair it properly. purely because its a nice looking coupe, if it was a dirty old sedo i wouldnt bother xD what do the panels look like from the inside?

First, welcome to the nuthouse... Liking the black pained wide steels on the back - excellent example of old school - just needs a couple of coils cut off the front (they won't come loose). Bummer about the bog - looks like the whole rear has been painted a slightly lighter red than the rest.

You bought the one with the boot floor repairs from the guy near st bede's?
I had a look at it, and bought a driveshaft & bumper off him... The flaring put me off, but then again I already have two gm/t cars...

I quite like the look of having the rear lower than the back, but I think I might be the only person in the world who does. I think it puts the car on a nice angle (pictures don't really show it though)
Yeah that's who I bought it off. Was planning to fix it and had started making up some new rear pieces out of steel.
Well its sadly too late to fix it, car got rear ended on Saturday morning by a mate who was following too close in his 80s Gem wagon! Car crumpled like a paper cup! I was pretty gutted.
But I have found another coupe, picked it up yesterday, body is quite straight, paint is crap (think about 4 cans of matte black spray). Diff is Barry Whiteed too, its a piazza diff (has disc brakes), at least I think so. Will have a look at putting my orange gem diff in it today, and then starting all over again in the tidying up process!
Will put up some pictures asap

that sounds worrying! It looks a little nuts atm but hopefully will tidy up nice. What are my chances of finding a nice shiny blue paint job underneath all the black? Know anything about the diff that been put in there?

If it has an early series Gemini diff in it I understand the Piazza disk brakes will bolt on, so might aswell just do that. Easier than trying to fit one.

@ PIP, I'd be interested in the whole front clip (guards, bonnet, grill bumper) off the orange one?
I can get a piazza diff for you, all I want off the piazza is the auto trans for the owner, twincam and front brakes for me, and take the diff out for someone..

Could be keen on the diff, but its all up in the air atm. What are my chances of getting the broken one fixed? The previous owner thinks it broke because he drove it with two different size wheels on it.... He didn't seem like the brightest chap....
Managed to get the diffs swapped over though, just did the whole rear axle, was told it would be easier. Took me and a mate 12 hours, just finished. Never done anything like it before though.
