Looking very tidy, a good buy. Glad you got rid of the 'modgies' - personally, I'd also be looking at raising it about an inch all round as well - but that's just me.

@ gordo i like the rostyles alot better aswell, i have a set of widened ones but i am most likley putting them on the hatch. The ride hight doesnt bother me as there are no problems when coming to get a WOF. @ misdablack, in the future if i still have this car i would be thinking of putting my hatch engine in this then thinking of something different for the hatch and yes my dad has the manta, infact he has two of them i think he is choosing the best body then going from there. @ crazytim, yeah thanks, just need the wagon now

hey Jesse yeah I am the old man with the Manta's went to see Tony Lynch the other weekend, the V8 Lexus Chevette is ALIVE! what a beast. saw Crazy Tim on the Opel Forum too.
I agree the Chevette looks heaps better with Rostyles, chromed and black would be the biz like you sometimes see on some MG's very cool.

Very nice Ryan, I had this saved to my watch list for a few weeks before I realised I was dreaming. It appeared to be in very good nick looking at trademe, and the more detailed shots don't disrepute this.
Agree the rostyles suit it more, just with it being so low they appear to sit well inside the guards. Obviously widened steels would correct this and that is one thing that the modgies had over the rostyles.
Still, very nice and glad that it has joined the forum. Good buy.

One of my Manta's is an 1.8 the other is a 2.0 some of you guys will know that the 1.8 motor and box out the Manta is needed for anyone doing a 20XE conversion in a Manta or a Chevette (long story) Anyway I am keeping the 1.8 in my Manta and doing some mods that wont rule out a 20XE conversion further down the track or me sticking the 1.8 straight in a chevette or doing a 20XE conversion.
The green chevette looks good low but in my opinion its not a good idea, the gold one has original springs that have been retempered to drop the car 25mm. the gold one drove like it was on rails originally and by doing what we have done should not compromise the cars ability to handle well.
go to low and the car is not good handling wise, depends on if you want "the look" or if you want to have real fun driving the car on back roads.
