welcome, Crazytim has a few g161z and a g200z lying around at his that would suit/be an easy conversion. should get in touch with him if your looking in that direction of engine conversion + alot of gm-t users have experience with these engines and im sure they would be happy to help

Yeah they are OHC Isuzu engines. They are suited to the x-member and engine mounts and it appears they fit in without too much trouble, but the gearbox x-member needs a bit of sorting out. Have a look through the project threads, a few people are doing these conversionsions on Chevettes and there are a few ways to go about it.

primagrey ive got a rolling (but very rusty) chevette with a modified-to-fit piazza rear diff (with disk breaks). and a g161 gemini engine + gearbox. and a few other bits and pieces to do the conversion. and ill chuck in a spare g161 long block, lights, springs etc that i have spare.
selling as a package deal so feel free to scrap and sell the body/whatever else you dont want out of it
i got it all from misdablack to do a conversion and build a rallycar but im posponing it for a while so theyre just gona take up space. all yours for $700
youd just need the gearbox X-member to get it all in

has all new seals & gaskets/recoed valve stems/new cap/rotor/points. needs plugs and leads but theyre pretty cheap. will need to be timed. youll need a gem driveshaft too and id recommend an adjustable pan hard especially if you want lowerage. check my project thread for details. theres a few other things you need to sort as well - front sway bar needs to be a gemini one. you need to cut the front to make room for an electric engine fan. change rad hoses to fit. custom gearbox x-member. cut a new shifter hole. electrics also need a bit of modding too ie alternator/starter solenoid/coil etc.
theres a g series 5 speed on tard me now with a remote shifter. 150 bucks i think. little steep tbh but meh!
