There will always be Chevettes in New Zealand, just buy one later on. Sure it will cost you a lot more than they are worth now... judging by the ones on tardme chevettes have more than doubled in value since i sold by bumblebee. wtf over 3k for an average vette hatch

Thats what people are asking, yes. But they aren't selling at that. I don't think prices have moved at all on Chevettes in the last year or two. There have been a couple of extremely over priced examples that have been attempting to push the prices up, but they never sell.
Prices will climb though, it's just a supply and demand thing, and when the buyers start coming back, the prices will go up accordingly. The main problem with Chevettes, is the same with anything at the moment, no body has any money at the moment!
Now is definitely the time to offer a stupidly low amount on something you want, because you just might be surprised.
