Peter Brock & Chevettes?

I ran into a guy at Hamptons last week who mentioned uncle Pete at some stage drove a chevette in Australia at some rally. i was amazed as I've never heard of this and was wondering ig anyone here knew more?

Must've been a one off, this guy was apparently one of the mechanics....but he was talking to me as I was driving to start.

It's possible he did it for some sort of publicity stunt or for fun - he did drive a few ifferent cars.
Quick search didn't come up with anything, though.

he must have been doing this about the year you were born, pretty cool I had no idea there was a link with DTV
