fair enough then. I still think its a little more political than that, most likely. I'm sure even the teams would love to go all over the world and do even more rallies than they do now, but the funding of the wrc itself is what I imagine is unable to cover the costs of coming down to gods own just for the few spectators that actually pay to go along and watch.

yeh it is abit silly for them to waste money racing down here. Like citroen might sell an extra 7 cars in NZ if they win lol their racing budgets are much better spent someplace like china i would of thought. Even tho racing/rallyinging in such ungodly places as china/bahrain/malasia/singapore/australia/abu Barry Whiten dabi has ruined motorsport forever.
i wana see F1 at kaylami and brands hatch and zanvoort not Barry Whiteing shanghai nights
f*ck the FIA
wait what are we talking about

Not China man, they have a 100% sales tax on cars not built in china. So your $250,000 Cayenne costs $500,000 there. Same type of thing in Singapore. A new Lambo Merci costs around NZ$1,000,000 there.

yeh but lots of manufacturueurz build cooking spec cars in china now
also looking to the future china would be the place where you would want to build a reputation. Mercedes, jag, bentley are still living off the names they built for themselves racing in the 1920s-50s
sucks ima miss the rally nz this year. Have been to most of them since the early 90's. Still have poster of the 1993 escort on my wall. Has been on the wall of all my bedrooms since i was 5/6 along side a 1987 tamiya calender and a 1988 perkins/watkinshaw grpA commodore lol
