sup guys...
well about a month ago i brought a air compressor and spray gun so my dad asked me if i could paint his firewood truck for practice (ive been doing minor bog work on it over the last few months because its not up to scratch for a cof due to some minor corrosion and it needs the towbar re welded up properly, new taillights etc..) anyways as i was saying we decided that i was gonna flick the truck a fresh coat of paint. after some odd sessions grinding out some rust and sanding down for a tidier finish, me n my dad went to car colours in rosedale to pick out some paint. ended up leaving the store with 1L of primer, 2L of a bright red enamel(like postman red, cant quite remember what its called) and a few litres of thinners which the dude recommend. Due to the weather being pretty choice earlier 2day i figured it would be best to get it done today so i gave it a quick sand back, blow down with air compressor and degrease> masked it up> then had a crack at it.
^^ Forgot to mention that i was only painting the back of the truck 2day, the cab needs a bit of welding done first before i can paint it.
anyways heres some pictures of how it turned out. Am pretty stoaked about how the final product came out as ive had no experience minus the odd can job that i did in the past on my mirage.
before...
Primer..

Final Product...
The only drip!
Quite proud of this ;D ashame the area i painted was quite rough therefore the finish not being as straight as an arrow but it doesnt really matter because the truck goes through hell every week: wood being thrown at it and what not lol. cant wait til i get round to painting the rage but until then i hope u guys enjoy:)
PS. Oh and forgot to mention that when the cabs ready ill be painting it a bright green (same colour as my dads work card, and stenciling his logo and number on the front. might even get round to chucking it on the sides or back of the truck. nit of a christmassy theme (not my preferred colour choice but dad wanted it to stand out so yea) + thre will be black touch ups around the truck here and there.
