ok, so i need an ecu to run my 4g32t engine (1.6L turbo which is continuos injection (i think)). i have very, very little knowledge when it comes to ecu as i havent learnt anything about them yet and i have no experiance working with them. was gonna try get a factory ecu and loom from dodsons but the previous owner was running the engine with a megasquirt ecu. was wondering if any1 could tell me if something like this.. www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=277028606 would be suitable or point me in the right direction. thanks

Dont think that Link Injector controler will be suitable. If it had a megasquirt before maybe do that I'm biased tho I run a megasqquirt and love it so yeah do that.

It looks as though that Link above is just a piggy back type computer to add a little more fuel when boost is getting up a bit, or along those lines anyway.
If I were in your shoes I would just try and get an original loom and computer to get it all running. Preferably find a whole car at a wreckers or something to nab parts off but I know thats easier said than done with cars of this era.
Megasquirts are very good systems but they do take a bit of knowledge and skill to get up and running. I have played with one years ago on a mates car and it was quite difficult to falut diagnose when things went wrong. It turned out we did have everything bang on but the injectors were fried so it never would have started anyway.
