Thought I'd start a thread for getting help coming up with fair prices to sell parts at?! Most of you Mrs Funt'maRunts have had and will continue to get steals from the crazy man, and who knows some day maybe you will reciprocate, but when I sell nuts on tard me I have no idea what things are worth, for instance gaz has/had a 5spd box up for $600 or somthing mad... is that extreme or is that what its worth? I want to be fair and treated the same by the buyer. (possible future newbies to gm-t)
Pretty much if I sell something to one of you's you can name your own price (don't be too silly) unless it's something I wanna keep for later use but that you need more than me which has happened several times... in this case the going rate applies! (as I will eventually need to find a replacement) Also those who are useful in return often get free stuff...
Anyway, gotta check on a bunch of stuff I've been requested from trade me (have to locate in messy as hell barn...) If any of yous find yourselves trying to think up a fair price post it here, I will post some stuff hopefully later today...

How muchy should I charge for a vette wingmirror in good nick... would keep but will never find a matching leftie for it so may as well make some bucks toward the carbon fibre ones I wanna get...

I paid $20 for mine, however that was cheap, I think reasonable would be $30 , others I've seen for $50...
Im not sure a 5spd is worth that sorta coin, I couldnt give away any of the g series stuff I had, ended up going to the scrap man..
Sold a late model diff for $250 I think it was, gave prozac a piazza diff (plus his brake parts) for free. Sold a 4xe1 or what ever it was + 5spd to Tom for a couple hundred I think.. TX gemini bought for a box of beer, sold for $80 , minus a heap of parts..
But on the flip side, whenever I go to get bits it costs me a arm and a leg - and if I wanted to get any of the parts I've sold/given away it'd be stupidly expensive..

I put a big as txt in my fone for you and lost it so will post here... retard proof! I will pop lense off my good set for you. Can't find the loose lense I have... am gana chance it that it is a drivers side one. The bung reflector I was telling you about is on that side anyhow so will need to come off. You can just hook me up what you think is sweet (plus freight) if you PM or txt me addy I will send it sometime this week (are you urgent?) Also looked at my drivesghafts... I have 4, all triangular! @ of my gboxes are square so will be on the hunt for square spline jobbies I guess. Chur! |

I got a 5-speed Isuzu box for $150 from the Holden place on Lincoln Rd. Came with a "put it in and it'll work sweet" warantee.

I dont need a driveshaft now tim,
Have sourced one through a wrecker down in timaru (couple hour south of chch) - he has a twincam piazza!
driveshaft, gearbox cross member, alt plug & loom all for $80 - brought it up to chch too.. (I know him but still I consider that very very reasonable)
