hi guys iv got a 1975 vauxhall viva hc that im in the process of doing up and im looking for some nice rims to put on it but the viva has a oddball stud pattern of 101.6 which makes getting rims rather difficult ... anyone got any tips or mod they have done to get around this ?

ya was thinkin of super lights cos i can get them custom drilled and pcd and offset ect .. was also thinking of something similar to modgies ... what im looking for is if there is anyway to put new hubs such as chevette hubs with 100 pcd with the hubs on the viva

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to get your axles and hubs redrilled & studded to 4x100 - or a even more common stud pattern such as 4x114.3 - The variety of wheels in that pattern is huge - much cheaper too. The problem with 4x100 is for the most part, FWD offset rims.. You'd have to talk to an engineer though. Shouldnt cost a arm and a leg anyway..

To be honest not too many of us are familier with the Viva. You may find a little more help on oldschool.co.nz or perhaps even a UK Vauxhall site, such as MIG or similar.
I'm pretty sure it won't be too different though as I have seen a Viva and they have a similar setup, plus I have heard of some Vivas randomly having 4x100pcd, hinting at a shared parts bin from the factory.
Also, I don't really think modgies would suit the Viva very well. I'd much rather see something a little more unique on there. Lites if nothing else. At least they have dish and look remotely decent.

Early HCs were supposedly 101.4mm (4 ") with late model ones 100mm same as the Chevette but I don't know the change over year.
Have you tried looking for a UK Viva club, to check?

I would have thought just redrilling would be the easy option. I know that is what Mike Johns did with his race Viva.
