standard g161 dizzy. sparking on 1.. nothing on 2, 3, or 4. coil seems ok, its not the leads or plugs, ive got a new cap, rotor, and points.. and still nothing on 2, 3, or 4. timing is ok, ive checked connections.. this car is going to send me Barry Whiteing mad!
any ideas? please =s (other than burning it to the ground wich seems to be a common sugestion)

Bent shaft and/or cam! Try resetting it on another lobe, do it carefully and I would suggest the go-nogo method. That is, to use two feeler guages with one being correct and the other the next size smaller - the smaller shouslide through without drag and the correct size should have a very light drag.

How are you testing the spark? Have you swapped the plugs between 1 and the rest? It could be a very complex problem but it seems a bit crazy, I'd keep looking toward the simple stuff to begin with to make sure nothing has been missed.

the same plug and lead that sparks on 1 wont spark on the rest.
im going to go and check properly soon, but visualy the points open on each lobe and close in between.
perhaps a complicated timing situation where the #1 lobe is open longer and therefore reaches the cap, where the other 3 dont.. i hate my car xD

Check everything again!!! How do you have the coil wired up when you had the injection on there you should have had an electronic ignition coil and the ballast resistor removed. For the points dizzy you need the stock wiring with the ballast resistor and suitable coil otherwise the points and condensor will stuff out real quick. What you need to do is crank the engine over with the cap off and see if the points spark each time they open good spark to you should hear it. If not the points are probably fried or they have a poor power feed. If they are sparking I'd say the coil is the culprit bad wiring or its stuffed.
