anyone owned one? know much about them? opinions?
im eyeing up a soarer as my 2nd car once i get rid of the gem. cant decide on the v8, the 2.5tt or the 3l. v8 will likley get supercharged. 3l would get swapd out for a supra turbo one. and 2.5... well thats my least favourite choice but the are the most common and the cheepest..
ultimatly id like to get my hands on ither a uzz31 or a uzz32- a v8 with ither air suspension or active suspension and 4wheel steer respectively..
and again- anyone want a gemini?

never thought I'd see a thread like this on here
get a manual 1jz-gte, which is the twinturbo 2.5litre engine. don't bother with the 2jz, it doesn't make a heap more power and the 1jz will go plenty well enough to get you into trouble. like I say, get one thats already manual as it will save you money and a lot of hassle in the long run because you will want to convert it.
if you could find a manual 1uz (4litre V8) one that would also be sweet, but this is probably even less common. and I wouldn't bother with all the active suspension or 4ws because thats just more nuts to go wrong and it will no doubt make them even heavier than they already are
all manual cars will already be converted as apposed to factory, so just check that its all been done well
and lastly, why the hell do you want a soarer?

Agree with brad, 1jz = win.
I'm unsure about room under the hood but a supercharged 1uz might not be as easy as it sounds, they're quite wide. This would be a nuts load more expensive unless you can fabricate nuts.
1jz are stronger in standard form being factory turbo and will take plenty more boost if you want to upgrade.

can get a charger kit for soarers for a rediculous price. id likley get one with a bugcatcher and cut a hole in the bonnet just to be different.
as for manual converted ones- 10k+ where as i can get a 2.5tt for 3k, im sure i can get it to manual for less than 7.
i could look into a single turbo instead of the twin setup wich, as all twins do, fails one of the turbos..
i want a soarer because i want a fast, reliable, comfortable modern car. theyre not common, not cop bait, and i can destroy hondas as well as any skyline- but i wont be a skyline driver ^^
also toyota = win

dont think the v8s come manuel do they?
they go pretty well in auto form anyway i wouldnt bother with supercharger either...they are pretty damn sweet in stock standard form. just add a nice exhaust and wheels
mates borther had one and it was a super sweet ride. Not sure if they're raly worth spending money on tho they are so close to awesome from the factory.
i reckon the jz soarers are kinda less exciting lol jzs are just boring all round.
not raspy enough.
get an rb
lol

My plan is an Audi A4 (B6) wagon... 2.5 manual if possible but I'll take the 1.8T too if that's all that's available. Not bad prices on TM and need 4wd.
