Don't think I have ever been nabbed by a camera... probably been done 15-20 times in person tho... much rather the camera tho, no demerit points... the face to face tickets have cost me my license in demerits alone 3 times...
On that note how many times have you Mrs Funt'maRunts lost your licenses? Quite common amongst my mates... A lot of them have lost it more than me! I think 3 times is quite bad, quite proud that it isn't for drinking or dangerous/careless driving... speeding is easy and something everyone is guilty of from time to time...

I lost mine "voluntarily" at 15 due to being caught DIC and also lost it for demerits about 5 years ago also.
I'm actually a relatively responcible driver now too, not too much speeding, a little bit of excessive acceleration at times but I leave anything silly for the track now which is good.
It ultimately pisses me off hearing people talking about speeding now, but I guess thats kind of double standards because I probably used to think speeding was cool too. lol

haha ive mellowed too... hadn't lost licence since 2001 then lost it last year. Had 2 x tix in my old work Commie Ute... one after an over taking manouvre enroute to Taupo and one when I had to work a Satday and was pished off and accelerated away from a roundabout got done 80km in a 50km. The final fine that lost my license was a nose to tail in the commie ute... 10 demerit points for failing to stop, despite there being no damage whatso ever, literally just touched the car in front who had completely smashed into the car in front of him... The ultimate insult is if this had occured 2 weeks later the older of the prev two tickets would have been 2 years ago meaning I would have kept my license. Still makes me filthy thinking about it!

Same thing happened with me come to think of it. I hadn't gotten a single ticket, in fact I haven't had a ticket since and that was 5 years ago, like I say. If it had of been only 3 weeks later I would have been over the 2 years and would have had less than 100 demerits. Ahwell, its all learning aye and now I'm lucky enough than I can actually start getting Insurance again too.
