Depends what you've got, your budget and how good you are sweet talking people into giving you good deals? I've had a couple of Chevette radiators fitted with HD triple cores, the second also had the oultets changed. Under $300 each.

For a G161z I would just stick to an absolute minimum to get me going. The Gemini ones are too wide, as you probably know, so don't fit in between the "chassis rails" or what ever you would call them at the front there. A recore would probably be a good option. I was intending on only doing that with my G200W conversion but it was a bit of a tight fit, so I had to remove all the stuff at the front and as a result, the chevette radiator would no longer fit so anything I was to put in would need mounts made, so I went for a nice big core cut down to the largest size I could fit in the gap.

i hear ya.
You recon i should just roll with the viva 1256 radiator and see how that goes?
I think so lol. Suits my budget
Will have to see how the pipes line up.
maybe i could go steal one out of a honda or something lke that at pickapart. Some of those fwd jappas have pretty small radiators.

i would just run the original and stick an electric fan on it so you can switch it on if need be. well, i wouldnt run MY original, i can stick my finger through it haha. if your looking to get one recored- copper prices make that painful. my gem cost me over $400.
