what size tires would you guys recommend for 13x7's on chevette sedan? standard wheels on now 175/70 i think & tops are just inside the guards. fronts will be cut but not majorly. wheel offset is negative so... . im guessing 50-60 series width wise im thinking 180-200-ish. guards not rolled yet but might roll the back ones.

Do you have any idea what the current offset is? If the lads get a better idea where the rim is sitting in relation to the inner/outer guard they may be able to advise - 175/50-13 seems to be quite popular overseas for 7" rims.

I have 175/50/13's and they are a small tyre with a very small rolling diameter. My wheels are widened and aren't my primary wheels, I use 14's or 15's for cruising or track duties, so ground clearance isn't an issue. I assume you want these wheels to be for daily use so I think a good compromise would be something like 175/60 or even 185/55 if you are able to find some in 13 inch. Also, this calculator that zep posted on oldschool is quite a good tool for checking tyre sizes and offset. Unfortunately it doesn't allow stretch, but theres ways around that. www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

I can confirm that 175/50s are pretty sweet for 13x7s. my speedo wasnt out by that much. Brads are 13x8 so maybe not as ideal for him.
edit: 175/60s work pretty well also and you can usualy pick them up pretty cheap second hand etc. probably better than the 175/50 for day to day duties

185/60s are easier to come by also, and 185/65s will have the closest to your original 155 rolling diameter as possible.. Ie so it wont put your speedo out by a country mile

nah, 185/60 is getting a bit too big in my opinion, 185/65 definitely is too big. I think 175/60 is a good compromise myself
