Lads Tony and Dan (Dannyboy) from here are taking both their cars to taupo tomorrow for test session. I'm tacking along as official camera / video biatch. I'm taking my kit too just in case someone offers me a ride and or a drive Sorry for late notice but if you're in the vicinity come on down and say hi. Remember Dan's will be the first run with teh s2000 bad boy so should be a great day.

Have fun, lads, that beasty should fly round the place - make sure you've some good sound clips as well! BTW, which track setup are they using - been on 4 and 5 but preferred 4. Want to try the proper one some stage.

holy crap that sounds tight. I can't wait to see it.
They look really flat around the track and quite quick too.

You were using the full track, you lucky buggers! How did they find the left, right left at the end of the 'back' straight to the front straight? I thought the initial turn in past the barrel was one of the best bits! The far hairpin is an awkward sod - I had talked to 'Racing Ray' Williams about it and his line is to run deep before turning back for a very late apex which keeps the car from being unsettled when trying to get the power back down. It made a big difference in the Calibra but not sure about their beasties? Was hoping to be joining you guys after the new year but bust rib and separation (karting mishap - won both races even with the bust rib! ) and a couple of broken teeth needing fixing means I'm down $4-5k from where I expected to be coming into the holidays. Would be funny seeing three or four (or more?) Chevettes on the track together! Oh, thought about posting the links over at the UK Chevette site or Eurosport over here? BTW, who was fastest, huh, huh?

there was nothing between them in a straight line, we think the old lotus has more oomph out the corners but bugger all in it. Gotta say those s2000 motors are fantastic. Yep these bad boys sit flat as on the track, afterall between me tony and dan we've put lots of laps around the tracks now so we're getting pretty good at knowing what works, well atleast tony is...i just drive them and tell tony what's happening.
I'm absolutely gagging to get mine done....I'm paid up and booked in for hampton downs lotus car club meet 1st of nov. you guys should definately be there for this as the our entire field will be there as well as lotus club. That's arrow wheels and aes.
