have noticed i'm a picky Mrs Funt'maRunt so heres my ideas
any wheel bigger than 15" is pretty silly unless your brakes require it, widened steels are win but hard to choose a colour for, patina is win, jamming an opel badge on my tg will help it lose its holden'ness, japanese wheels on euro cars only work some times, cutting the bumpstop towers to get lower is a great idea

Agree with the wheel size. I have 298mm rotors on the front and can still run 15"s so I doubt that anyone would need to have anything bigger!
Are you saying that the Gemini is a euro car? or just putting japanese wheels on the chevette don't work?
Bodykits, no good. Wings no good. Chromies, never. Exposed intercoolers on OS cars = no

What he said - unless it's a SERIOUS car that needs a tasteful kit for tyre clearance.

I'm talking about side skirts and fiberglass bumpers. Car excluded are things like Berg Cup cars and Irmsher Kadett GT/Es etc.

agreed. I believe less is more with body styling. I could slap people with massive wings etc...i just don't get it. The exception is things like standard out of the factory wings being removed for that drifter look...eg early 00s subarus without the rear wing just looks strange to me.
There's a reason i choose old stuff over new, i like the old fat wheeled big arches look eg hs & hsr chevettes. Escorts, fiat 131 abarths, group c vk commies etc.

haha only some jap wheels look wrong, for instance watanabes on chevette sweet as they are similar to minilites or superlites, but cherry blossoms on a chevette would be a waste of a rad wheel, i love group c replica's to be honest but can't stand the later model fronts geminis have on anything but a wagon, an exhaust tip bigger than 3" (i'm sooo guilty of this) had a coon can at one stage, sound gear weighing more than 20kg in any car, reclinable bucket seats-out pedal boxes-win chromies-out custom cold air intakes and airboxes-win quad throttles-win period roof racks-win hot girl/wife in passenger seat-win (well done brad lol but watch phil ) please note these are my personal views and don't be offended by my formula for style if differs from yours

Poorly installed sounds (base mainly) cranked up so the whole car rattles a crappy tinny tune from outside. My pet hate! even though its probably not considered a style aspect. Oh and angled number plates... Arghh!

Putting an Opel badge on a TG They didn't have late models so I think Isuzu badging = win ;D Other than that I agree with most of the nuts said. My personal styling taste = low, flush wheels with a light sprinkle of stretch and tasteful paint. I like the idea of hidden intercoolers etc on old cars also.

Agree with all likes/disslikes I'm only guilty of one my sounds weigh 22kg in the TG and no idea what the setup in the wrx weighs bit more I'd say. I also hate over bass'd setups my TG has 100rms 6x9's and there amped and a 160wrms 12" it sounds pretty much like a house stereo. I dont really like the bass orientated music lol and my wifes a moden dance teacher e.g hip hop dance get to listen to all the latest all the time. I have an isuzu badge on my TG I got rid of most of the holden badging just the steering wheel but I dont like modding the interior of older cars seats maybe but not much else specially monstaar tahcos. I dont mind the intercooler showing a little not hanging out like they seem to do to olschool corollas etc.

Haha agree with most of that... rofl to the angled license plates... usually go hand in hand with a hotbox and a flat peak!
I reckon fully exposed intercoolers are a No but reckon just peeking out is like car cleavage! mmmmmmmmm
The rims are one thing I'll differ on... I love 16s and 17s... I'm glad that everyone has their own thing otherwise we'd all be cruisin in variations of the same whip!

i have a huge list of things i hate about cars. I mean huge. So i wont get into it too much. I like em shaved. I like sound quality. I dont like chromes or anything bigger than 15 on old cars. I like the idea of modernising with new electronics and technology. Thats my 2 cents.

haha opel badged commodores are sweet my personal hate is people thinking (or implying) that Opels are badged Holdens And I'd probably agree with burntrubber that just badging the later model Holden Geminis as Isuzu would be the way. I like the fact that they are a Japanese car thats slightly less heard of than many others and with their own unique style compared to the rest. Its all been said already I think but the key to a good t-car is low and clean with simple wheels that don't detract too much from the car. I used to have 17's on my Chevette and I liked the look of it and I still do in some respects but since I have gone to smaller wheels and I've seen the proportions of the car with small wheels on I think its much better. Not to mention the fact it handles and feels so much better than on the 17's. I personally wouldn't put anything that big on again. I also liked maintaining the original style of the car. I don't really like when people debadge, dechrome and shave stuff. I'm also not a huge fan of chop and channel stuff, unless its on huge American tanks that actually need it to get them back closer to where they should be ;D As far as replicas go I like them and have nothing against them but I think they need to be all or nothing. As much as I love bulldogs coupe it is still a Gemini. You'd never ever see japanese style tail lights on a european car of that era and it just doesn't look right. I think having the Opel badges on it is still cool but its just an Opel badged Gemini rather than a Kadett C... at the moment. A Chevette rear panel will get it very close and I think most people don't notice the C pillar differences so that doesn't matter too much at the moment - would be quite difficult and expensive to change. Above all our cars are ours and I actually don't mind people doing what they want to them. If someone has invested a lot of time, effort and money into something because they love it who cars if they have 17 inch modgies (lold), a 9 inch chrome dumpy and what ever else they might like - as long as they are actually destroying the car. Granted I do draw exception at angled number plates because that is just fu*ken retarded.
