Depends how heavy the trailer is, I'd frequently towed trailers with a stock 1256 and cruised at 110-120 on the flat - heck, on one occasion with another Chevette on a single axle trailer! Mind you, it was a lot slower on the hills but not as bad as you may think.

I would never even consider towing a car on a trailer with a Chevette. The chassis simply isn't up to it.

Didn't have much choice, transferred from Gisborne to Whangarei and it had to be moved. Come to think on it, it may have been missing an engine but not sure - was quite a long trip but it was just the hills that were a problem.
