Not as such - there are a few fabrication manuals/gudes on Amazon which give some useful info' on designing and building the bucks and metal/guage selection.

yeah it went into it a bit was thinking a hardwood buck and then start tapping on it with a softblow and see what i get, would want to start with 3mm at least or even 2.5 as its going to thin out around the curves

Ah, you're thinking of forming it INTO the buck, I was thinking of forming it OVER the buck which would mean cutting and/or 'shrinking' the sheet metal. Does it have to be metal - you could make up a pattern and mould some fiberglass ones?

Ali ones would look pretty swish though. Just coat it in a clear laquer so it doesn't oxidise and you'd be away. Its an awesome idea man. Would be cool to give it a crack.

i remember watching a biker buildoff on discovery a while back. some aussie guy made all his panels, tanks etc that way. didnt even paint it caus it was so imaculate. no bog needed.
he just made wooden shapes ov gastanks and such with chisels and sandpaper, then got a soft hammer and started smackn. obviously it LOOKD alot easyer than it is, ill bet thers alot of thought that gos into where to hit, what materials to use. and a nutsload ov practice. but its a similar theory to those oldskool english wheels.

This sounds like the hardest thing in the world, but I'm fully behind you on it. Keen to see how it turns out!

We make moulds for plastic and concrete products at work the guy that does them all is 60 and he's done it his whole life he's pretty good he can make almost any shape. Talked to him about making a widebody kit for the TG ages ago he was real keen I'm sure he could do an awesome job of it 2.
