If anyone here is wanting to do a coupe I think you're crazy not to grab my shell with all the good bits as listed above. Four link setup with quaife lsd and brand rear new disc brakes. Get some seats, throw in a motor of some sort, match it to the 5 speed sierra that comes with it and you're away laughing. Oh and rear coil overs are staying as they're part of the 4 link setup. If you're wanting to convert it back to road car simply cut the cage out and find some gemini seats etc, headling is good, door skinds are good. $4500 is a bargain....i'm not just saying that because I want to sell it, I know the time involved in installing rear discs, the 4 link etc...all the brackets etc etc....quaife lsd head is $1300....Sorry, just think it's a great deal and I'm hoping someone else will see this also.

Completely agree with you man. I would absolutely jump on that opportunity if I could. Its pretty much exactly what I'd want in a race car, perhaps had it been 6months or so ago. Unfortunately now its looking like I'm going to be tied up with a mortgage very shortly and with so much on my plate I simply can't afford to undertake a race car at this stage which is actually really dissapointing To be honest I think most people on this forum have their plates full as far as projects go at this time. Oldschool is probably much the same, though I wish someone from either forum would jump at this chance to get an awesome car that would be easy to complete and has so much potential. I'd hate to see it leave the family.

Thanks Brad. If I had the cash I'd keep it too as Tony and I've put a lot of time and money into it as you're all too aware with your own these things take hours and hours. Here's hoping someone on either forum can take the plunge.
I'd be happy for someone to pay off say half of it if it goes to one of us boes. I'd simply keep it in storage until such time as it was paid....just a thought.

When u find a moment maybe send me a complete list of what you are selling for this $1000 and I will run thru it with wifey at some stage soon... cant push my luck tho, cant believe she let me get the 2 wagons...

Tried several different spring compressors for the front springs - all of them have been complete arse as there's sod all bloody access to the coils! Easiest way I've found was to use the weight of the car to compress the spring as a jack holds the car up under the wishbone. Then break the bottom ball joint before lowering it on the jack until the arm is fully lowered and then flick it out with a long lever - bit dangerous but easiest way I've found.
Craig/Brock, what sort of condition is the T9 in - could perhaps use it as a spare.

I'll get all the stuff out and take some photos. sweet... think this is as far as the list thingy went... unless the parts did sell... in which case ignore this shizz! If not gimme a PM and maybe I come and check it out.... as said I really don't need anything thats coupe only but will take as a package if I have to... (and will most likely end up buying a coupe to justify keeping the parts lol) Will have to work out dollars tho... final $1K payment going on family car on the 20th of the month when I'm next paid... was hoping to get G161 rebuilt the following 20th... could maybe split the payment and collect laters... again as mentioned I'm in no hurry... just really want the feckn guards and decent bonnet... my spare bonnet is rust central along grill line... uh oh spaghetti-oh turning into another novel... laters!
