Offers... loctaed Albany, North Shore, Aucks. De-reg, minor rust in most of the usual spots, havnt realy looked at too closely, the worst I have found is around the heater pipe above the drivers feet...may have rust repair section in my TX wreck tho. Mint black dash apart from two screw holes that some muppet tried to mount a tacho gauge to the flat bit above heater controls. As far as mechanicals go she has blown rings and smokes like Thomas the tank engine. I realy don't want to sell but for the right $$$ out she goes koz I am experiencing fairly extreme poorness at the moment...waiting for juicy council contract to be confirmed!!! For a realistic offer can come with the 17s. They are pretty much brand new and again don't realy wanna sell but can replace once business picks up. They are Lensoes with Nankang 215's on them. Anyhow any interest or if you know anyone looking for a wagon project gimme a holler...they are gettin hard to find!

Just to be crystal clear this is not a definite sale!!! wont accept low-ball offers, and may well change mind entirely! that goes for car and the wheels-as stated I realy don't want to part with either but needs must! Also am taking offers on de-regd vette wags, rolling primed shell, front to be converted to Gemini of choice, can come with TX snout, no decent guards or bonnet tho... again another vehicle I want to see through to the finish but paying rent and feeding the ever expanding whanau more important lol! Not sure if I announced this on GM-T but I am 11 weeks from having a second daughter! Fuk why stop at the wagons, I will take offers on both my Chevinis too... go to my project threads for pics and info, probably want too much for any of yous but ya never know (probably want heaps just to deter a sale lol) but fuk it, make an offer if you want somthing... can't believe I'm doing considering this! I will just say this once more to avoid any confusion.... I am after offers... none of these vehicles are definatly for sale!!

this 81 chevette, reg just expired i think last month, engine very tired 1256cc monster 4 banger (stock chevette) can come withy gem upgrade engine... pretty much complete... gemini front mounted professionlly, cost about $1100. Needs rust repairs to 1 guard. Small rust hole in rear valance. Leaks but don't think panelbeater sealed guards when conversion was done. Can come with or without wheels. Again realy don't want to sell... but if someone really wants her and is offering the right amount... looks like this at the moment. Rolling shell, accoding to prev owner has an LSD in it... has torque tube so most likey piazza. 2pak painted rear, chevette front chopped away to mount TF frontage with bonnet pins. If you were to track down a front clip it would cost roughly $1100 to have proper gem frontage professionally mounted... I wasnt going to bother (for now anyway) have gem engine for this if wanted... again as above don't want to sell but if someone can see the potential and wants to make a decent offer you never know. Below is an idea of what she'd look like with the TF front... Cant be bothered finding pics of vette wagon.... basicly its been paneled and is dead straight and primed. The painted internal surfaces have already been top coated in GM-H color 'cinnabar' along with engine bay and inside of doors and boot. No engine but can put the G161 and 5spd back in it along with the front end with venthilated front discs (piazza im thinking) this car was sold to me as a Gemini with a G180 in it... you get the benefit of knowing its realy a vette with a dodgy nosejob and G161 in it! This car would defineately need a proper frontal conversion, the top of the radiator panel was butchered by prev owner! But as prev mentioned have TX snout for convo... and also as above not a definate sale... Especially don't wanna sell chevinis... fuk this suxx!! Hope things work out, would make life a lot simpler to have less projects tho!

Jack up one side, gearbox in neutral and try turning the jacked up wheel by hand - if it's open, you'll be able to turn it as the prop shaft turns BUT, if the Gods are smiling, with an LSD, you won't be able to turn it without a LOT of force.

And if you still can't turn it then it is a locked (welded) diff. I'm sure I remember you telling me years ago that it was locked by the previous owner because he was building it as a rally car.
So make sure you can get some turn out of it, although just with towing it and moving it around I would say it would be quite obvious that if it is locked by now because it would be a c*nt.
And as far as the car situation goes, I would really love to make an offer on the matty b Chevini but I am not in a position to at the moment with saving for a house and I definitely don't need another wagon project because I never even look at my one as it is.
I hope it all works out for you though man and you don't have to sell any. I know its hard times for some people but things will come right.
Oh and also congrats on the new addition!

haha friendly fire!!! need engine 1st!! will try that soon anyway (jacking up...) dude advertised it as lsd... never said anything about locked/welded... or rally car, he had a rotor in it used it as a drags/skid car. Probably fuct! Was a good dude tho...have to track him down when i finally finish it (if i finally finish it...) and gordo, will it make a difference with the car having no box or prop shaft?! measured her up gem g/box and prop shaft will be all good so has to be piazza... shame someone took the brakes off, cant tell what it is...arnt the LSD ones factory rear discs? anyway brakes are awol so doesnt make a diff(erence) haha get it?! bedtime, that so wasnt funny!

how much for the de regd wagon looks like one i was chasing in whangamata(gemini) without those fruity 17s sorry bout pickin up my ol wags bro i tried to warn people on trademe that it was a chevette, i got thru to a few people the guy was pretty non chalant when i told him i had built the car and started the nose job and he was false advertising, and as for calling me a butcher thats a bit harsh mate we cut what we cut to make everything fit to run the g161 and the chevette front end and was the best solution when you're doing everything on a tight budget when you're 17 and it is all a learning process regardless i've learnt from the error of my ways and am building things to a much higher standard now cheers for your constructive criticism jase

fuk! just did a sexyvette and lost my big reply. Do u ever come near auks? Maybe come check it out and make an offer. If you want it it is sweet where it is for now, just wouldnt want to sell site unseen and have u being pished at me... PM me what you think u'd be happy to pay and I will PM u secret info about its dereg status. I do understand that its a site unseen offer, it is pretty good tho as far as these rust buckets we all seem to love go...
Haha butcher comment, did think maybe that was u, easiest way to fit any engine into a gem is whacking front end out (in my opinion) very feckin restrictive bay! Meh dont take it personally, ur current wags is defnitly the hottest on this forum and im only slitely jealous! (well maybe alot jealous!)
Think the blue girl is ex whangamata....small world!
