Not bad, seems to keep up in all but the longest straights (where the BMWs 5 million horsepower starts working in it's favour).
Chevette certainly sounds pretty awesome!

Any specs on the chevette? It might have a racecar type suspension setup and C20XE in which case I would probably expect it to have an advantage on the lardy 1821kg (!) BMW. I mean 500hp is alot but I worked XE would be making easily over 200hp and a stripped chevette would be less than 800kgs so power to weight is quite similar too.
Either way, its a cool little vid. Car sounds great and has heaps of midrange. I'd like to hear it rev out a little more because it almost sounds as though its just coming alive up high but perhaps thats just me being a narcissist.

Not to be nasty or anything but I don't rate him as a driver. I didn't see him using all of the car's grip at all. Perhpas he was super smooth, I think he could have been more commited I spose I should wait until my race car is finished and I'm lapping tracks quick enough to slate others......watch this space

haha yeah, don't bag him. He's probably similar to me - very little track experience, just built something as a bit of a weekend warrior. It just looks like a normal open trackday to me, not F1 (or any real event at all for that matter ).

It's a pig of a track, rough as hell and the run-offs even rougher. I've done a day there in my old 205gti and just didn't feel comfortable pushing it too hard. Possibly this guy felt the same.
