Yeah I've heard about the limp mode thing. It could very well be that there's a green light on the ECU thats flashing! Although it does go resonable well I dont think its in limp mode it just does'nt have the power it should. Took it for a open road thrash this arvo got it up to 160kmph fairly easy so meh thats not that bad I guess. I recon it needs a head gasket it idles really rough like its blown between two cylinders need to do a compression test will do that tomorrow.

Got new plugs and put my leads off the 1600 on it this afternoon and that has smoothed the idle a bit still a bit iffy I also disconected the EGR valve that made a big differance aswell. but while I was having a listen ect there was a nock which turned into a rattle I was gutted. I Thought it was a bigend bearing but when I jumped in the car to turn it off I noticed it was comming from the gearbox I think its the input shaft bearing when I put my foot on the clutch it slows down and stops Feck cant be arsed sorting that out piece of crap.

Took it for a good hard 20km open road blat first time since new plugs and that noise. The noise is alot quieter and it goes quite well now still abit sluggish above 4500rpm. I'm sorta planning to put these bosch injectors I have in which will fix that I think seen as the stock ones are 24 years old.
