Just out of curiousity.... what is a relatively simple engine and gearbox upgrade for a 77/78 gemini.
Apologies in advance if this seems like a simple question, but I know very little about gemini's.

If I were to do it (an engine conversion), I would go for the 4ZE1 2.6 lt 4 cyclinder from the 89-93 Rodeo. I will do it in the future sometime too. The G-series twin carb manifold will bolt on too. Unless you want to piss around with EFI.

^^Excellent idea in fact I'm looking at a Isuzu MU at the moment may be able to acquire its engine for cheaps.

How does it compare, weight wise?
For some reason I was thinking the MUs had a 3 litre four - must be thinking of something else ...

Ah dunno guy told me it was a 4ze1 fuel injected Isuzu engine were his words  may have to go have a look was just talking to him. |
