Aquired bits today

Hey guys, hope you all had a good break if any.

Picked up my 2.3 slant 4, diff and matched toyota gearbox today and I'm very happy with the haul.

I've taken some pics of all the kit and some of the guy's awesome rally chevette shell and his truly amazing rebuilt dry sumped twin cam lotus / vauxhall motor!

Have a look through the goodness here. Gordo whenever you want it would be great to have you come round and have your expert opinion.

Forgot to add Gordon that the carbs are 45mm not 40s as suspected.....nice

Remeber seeing 2 methanol TC Lotus motors, and they were after $10k each... On trademe bout a year ago....

Hey Chris, yeah got all the bits on there. the 40mm dellortos turned out to be 45s so I think he didn't read them properly!?

Yep my motard is my daily commuter 'excitement'

I'm looking for a good engine crowd now to do crack testing and balancing, rehone etc before i put it back together. Any suggestions?

SNAP!! I found that one and a viva one lastnight on trademe, but then found out my step-dad has the viva one that covers the 2.3 anyway so I'll grab that today.

Hey did you do the motorkana Gordo? any pictures etc? When do you want to head round for a looksy at the bits, would really appreciate your opinion on the bore and crank etc. Bore looks sweet to me but your expert eye might say otherwise.
