Took the Te for a blast with the megasquirt not even tuned just had the laptop in there to log it all. I am so impressed with this computer the car easy has 25% more go probably more like 30%. I'm a bit noob when it comes to tuning it but I'm not sure if it even needs to be it idles smooth as and drives like a dream so happy best $300 eva ;D

hahah damn you. I wish I was brave enough to go with a megasquirt! Unfortunately I got a link Good stuff man. Sounds like its not really worth tuning if its running fine, not smoking and not using millions of gas.

Got some pics Full gasket and seal kit plus all the other bits needed for the re build. Block freshly painted today. Got me this new intercooler got all the fancy silicone joiners and t-bolt hose clamps to go with it.

Got the 4zc1 going today goes real well only running 4psi till its run in. One major problem it would appear that my gearbox was on the way out and has shat its self. Butt not to worry I have 3 spare off to fit it Jase is going to help we'll use the hoist at his work.

Good work man! You really get things done. I can't wait to see this, you'll have to bring it down to the oldschool trackday in april.

Yeah gunna give it a rest for a week or so now spend some time with the family they've been a bit left out lately.
Took it for a good drive today burnt $40 fuel already I'm still driving it easy no dumping the clutch or revving past 4800rpm even at that and only 4psi its awesome to drive. Charging the camera up to take some complete engine pics.

Been driving around heaps today again! Love driving it cant wait till its run in and tuned properly. Even just in the two days its been running its freeing up revs quicker and I had to re adjust the idle it had picked up to 1200rpm from 800rpm! Here's a pic of what it looks like finished. Got a few bits left to sort like few horrie wire's and I'm making up a new relay box holder/washer bottle because the stock ones are ugly. Also want to get some nicer radiator hoses and blue vacuum lines. Not happy with the ride hight now the 4zc1 is heavier and I have bout 20mm travel in the front now. Its crap bottoms out on every second bump and scrapes like Barry White on my driveway.

Sounds like a plan thats if its still going still could pop I haven't rebuilt and engine in about 8 years but I'm confident its all good. I do think your g161 will take it though seen as its been so well built and my 4zc1 is just stock internally. Cant wait till its tuned and is running more boost. I bought a laptop on Sunday only to find it don't have the 9pin serial plug I need for the ecu. I will have to get an adapter or different cord but I'm to busy to get to the shops during the week now .
