I had to replace my cut springs because I need a warrent. Their a right prick to put standards back in anyone agree, and now one of the springs is rubbing on the tube that holds the bumpstop. Its making quite an anoying creek and theres no way I'm taking it out again .

Ha yes standards take a while. When I put the cuts in they poped in piece of poo because they are shorter. But yeah I actually kicked them in good old work boots ;D the spring thats rubbing is seated properly its just bending and rubbing eh I dont really care as long as I get a WOF its a heap anyway

God i hate removing/replaciong the springs on the double wishbone set up, a right kick in the nuts it is. You got a spring compressor? comes in hand from time to time.

I agree. Standard springs are nuts. Have you reinstalled the springs with that rubber damper (thingy that I don't know what its there for and never use)? Perhaps thats made the spring sit a little closer to the bump stop tube than its meant to..? I find nothing wrong with wishbone set up when the springs are cut or shorter. Can do mine in about 15 mins a side i reckon. Just takes a little while to pull the sway bar off each time. You can get away with not but its way easier if you do.

The spring is back in perfectly rubber cap and everything it just seems to bend over more than the other side. Yes I do have spring compressors I dont think it could be done without them. When I cut them it took about half an hour each side to re-fit and bolt all the bolts up, but the standards are about 100mm longer so its a bit more of a mish but yeah second side took a lot less than the first

Ahwell, it probably won't fail a wof on a sound or is it pretty bad? How do you guys usually pull the spring out at the front?

chuck a jack under the 1st arm of the control arm, un bolt and lower the jack, then pretty much just yank it out. Same to chuck in in too, except with the use of a srping compressor if need be. Usually a 15-20 min job per side, freakin hate the springs though, Alway pop out and scare me half to death.

went for a warrent spring passed but it failed on left hand side rear outrigger/A-arm bush which means I have to take the spring out again Ah well job for tomorrow. Now I have heard that the RTS arms are differant to the non RTS I have some RTS arms with good bushes but the TE is non RTS I hope they fit.

I went back this morning on my way to work and sweet talked him into letting it go with a warning. He's a good guy his shop is new and 1 min from my work thats why I went there usually go to a testing station. The TE handles so much better with my TG springs and shocks it was crap before. I think some TE's had RTS but mine don't have the badge on the dash so I guess it does'nt.
