Hi all I am looking to change my headlights from the flush mounted ones to the earlyer sunken in as I just prefer the look . It looks as if I will have to cut the mounting hole out bigger to fit the new lights ( I have beams , mounting plates , surrounds and all mounts required) has anyone done this before ? Any info / things to look out for would be great cheers . Also I go ahead I will have some flush mounted lights for sale .

That is indeed about what you need to do. You have to chop out just a little bit and then rivet a small piece of steel/alloy plate between the two tabs, drill a hole in it and then you will have something to screw one side of the surround to. I think the other side has a hole in the right place. You will spot what I mean.
Once done you will indeed have a much more awesome looking chevette and you have a place to put your cups of tea as you work on it...
